SOLUTION FOR NOKIA 7510 (won't turn on/flashing black and white screen)

Remove the battery
Press the power button for few seconds
Install the battery back on
Turn the phone back on

it should work that how i did to my phone

white screen appear? check first the flex connected to the LCD

you must format your phone...press GREEN,* and 3 simultaneously while turning it on..do not let go until hands appear..

take it to the near shop and reinstall new software

i had the same problem, i updated the firmware on the phone, if you go to the nokia website it will say how to do this.
basicaly you download the nokia updater but you have to have the data cable and nokia pc suite it backup your phone.
i have done it a few days ago and instead of starting up after 5-20mins, it starts up straight away and doesnt stay on the white background, i hope this helps

The method of performing a hard-format, i.e resetting it completely to factory defaults and removing all data, is as follows:

1. Switch off the phone.
2. Hold down the following three buttons: Green (call answer) button, * button, and '3' button
3. While holding these buttons, press the power button and switch on the phone
4. When the message 'Formatting' appears on the screen, release all of the buttons

Note that you shouldn't switch the phone off or remove the battery when performing either of these operations, and it's advised that the handset has a reasonable amount of battery charge before performing a format/reset.

I the 3button format failed, the only solution left is to format/SW flashing through a flasher.

hi there you've go a software problem there try this manual formating somtimes it works but if not must go now to any nearest service center to reprogram your phone. ok!
so here's the tricks to format....
power off the phone first then PRESS and HOLD
"CALL KEY" + "* KEY" + "3 KEY" then power on the phone just hold and wait till NOKIA LOGO appears then release. finish, phone will be ok. you will know that you successfully format the phone cuz' all your data form the phone will be back to normal.
