    1. Connect a Cable TV or Satellite signal to the IN jack on the Cable Box/Satellite Receiver.

    2. Use an RF coaxial cable (as the one supplied) to connect the OUT jack on the Cable Box/Satellite Receiver to the ANT-IN (Antenna In) jack on the DVD/VCR.

    3. Use a second RF coaxial cable to connect the ANT-OUT (Antenna Out) jack on the DVD/VCR to the TV’s Antenna In jack.

    4. Plug in the power cord of your TV. Turn on the TV and set it to channel 3 or 4.

    5. Plug in the power cord of the DVD/VCR. You are ready to turn on the DVD/VCR.
    email back for problems ok?

How do you record a t.v. show using the VCR on a Sanyo DVW-6100 combo?

Use a "1-to-2" splitter on the cable between the output from the Direct TV box and your TV. Connect 1 of the 2 to your TV.
Connect the other cable to your VCR.

Yes you will need component cable and you can attach your xbox to the front left of this combo. You will have to select the correct auxillary input once the xbox is connected so you are able to view on your tv.

I have the Zenith XBV443. I'm trying to copy saved programs from my dvr on my tv to dvd discs. My neighbor has a simular model yet we can't find out why I'm unable to do the same. What do you think is the...

Hi there,

The Zenith player/recorder will be able to record to DVD from an external input such as a PVR. The most likely reasons you are unable to record successfully are:

1. The TV / DVR is not connected to the Zenith recorder correctly. You need a separate cable for recording. You cannot record using the cable that is connected for playback of DVD discs.
2. The TV / DVR does not have "VIDEO OUT" sockets
3. You have not selected the correct external input on the Zenith recorder

If you can let me know the brand and model number of your TV / DVR and how it is connected to the Zenith DVD recorder, I can let you know why it isn't working, how to make it work, and even draw you a setup diagram, if required. It's very difficult to give you the correct answer without these details.

You Zenith DVD recorder will record from the DVR - the real question is, can the DVR send video to the Zenith DVD recorder . . . ?

Regards,
BElectric

Recording to DVD recorder

I know you can copy to the VCR. but do not know if digital recording has any form of copyright protection. You can try to copy by connecting the outputs of the DVD TV to the inputs of the DVD player recorder.

Recording from vhs to dvd with a dvr

You can get a standard audio/video cable from any Radio Shack or audio equipment store. It will most likely come as a single 3-part cable with a yellow (video), white (audio left), and red (audio right) set of connectors on each end. Most equipment that's not too old will have matching color-coded sockets marked input/output. Simply plug the video/audio cable into the vcr output and the other end into the dvr input. then connect a second cord from the vcr output to the tv input. Then with everything turned you will be seeing the final signal on the tv and you can start the dvr when you are ready to start recording.
