Ok, my GE A730 7.0 MP was connecting perfectly with my pc, uploaded pics fine. Now, all of a sudden, it cannot find my camera. What's up with that? Help please.

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

I have a ge a730 digital camera i am trying to

Once you erase or "clean up" your camera files, they are gone, and you can't get them back. They are not like CD disks or computers hard drives. Always copy or move important pictures to your computer before you clean up or format the disk in the camera, or the internal memory. Wish I had better news.

Why are there lines on my picture?

It has a shutter problem. The damage could be some dust particles between the shutter blades or the flex connector broken. Cleaning or otherwise replacement of lens unit will be the solution. It will be the camera technician's job.

GE A730 takes picture on startup, then responds to NOTHING.

There's a problem with this model, I have one. Send back to GE, and they fixed it. Talk to a Techie online @ GE, and they will tell you to return it. It will cost you postage.
