    this can also mean

    E74: There is high chance it's a scaler chip problem (the "ANA" or "HANA" chip near the AV cable connection) it can also be caused by a faulty AV cable so check that first. In some cases it is a problem with the GPU and may be repairable by doing the x-clamp replacement (see error 0102)

    But in any case its a hardware problem and you have to contact your dealer if you have warranty your saved.

    Heres what microsoft says about the error

    I hope this comes out readable.

    Xbox 360: One red light flashes on the Ring of Light and you receive the "E74" error message

    loadTOCNode(1, 'symptoms');

    When you perform an auto update on the Xbox 360 console, and then restart the Xbox 360 console, the lower-right quadrant of the Ring of Light (RoL) flashes red. Additionally, you receive the following error message:
    E74. System Error. Contact Xbox Customer Support.

    loadTOCNode(1, 'cause');

    This behavior occurs when the Xbox 360 console experiences a hardware failure.

    loadTOCNode(1, 'whattotry');

    Turn off the console, disconnect all the cables, and then reconnect all the cables. Turn the console back on.

    Turn off the console, and then disconnect any accessories that are connected. For example disconnect any Xbox 360 controllers, Xbox 360 Memory Units, and the Xbox 360 Hard Drive. With the accessories disconnected, restart the console to see whether the problem continues to occur. This can help determine whether the console or an accessory is experiencing the problem.

    If you continue to experience this problem, contact Xbox Customer Service.

    Note If the agent cannot help you resolve this issue, you may have to return the console to Microsoft for repair.

Hi. I just purchased the insignia digital wireless headphones for my boyfriend and the headphones won't charge properly. It says to put the on the dock station and the red light will stay on(up to 4 hours)...

If the red light is on for such a short period of time, it probably means that the headphones are charged. The red light will flash for a long time and then turn green only when you charge on the dock headphones that need charging. I suggest to try to use them without charging them and see if the headphones work.

Im thinking about getting a Turtle beach Headset X3 but..

The white and red connections are for audio left and audio right (respectively). If you use only the white, you'll only hear the left channel audio, not both left and right.

Does anyone know why my turtle beach receiver is blinking and why it turns off randomly and turns on randomly

The batteries may be run down or loose. Try replacing them with fresh alkaline batteries and make sure they're sitting tight inside the battery compartment.

The light blinks once a second when it's working normally and twice a second when power is about to shut down. This can happen when the transmitter is shut off or when there's no sound from the XBOX. It works this way to save battery power.

Turtle Beach X3 is usually not recognized when plugged in

Change the batteries. The light will stay on when the batteries are too low. When that happens, you'll get symptoms like this.

The sound comes and goes from right part of headset

The left/right problem could be a bad connection on the red/white XBOX cables. Check to see that they're plugged in properly and not loose. You can also try plugging an MP3 player into the red/white jacks to see if the problem is with the headset or the XBOX. If it works ok with your MP3 player, then the headset is working fine.

You can get a new headset controller cable on our web site. Click on Replacement Parts in the left menu for the headset model you own (X1, X3, or X4).

No charge for xbox wireless headphones

There should be lights on the front of the headset's transmitter box. Are these lit up?
Also, there should be a "palm tree" icon on the left earcup of the headset. When you turn on the headset from the POWER button, the palm tree should flash about once a second. Is it flashing?
If not, you may need to "pair" the headset to the transmitter.

You should set the Chat Audio to "Play through headphones" and hook the red and white piggyback cables into the X360 red and white RCA out's.
