Computer unplugged from power, Anti-Static Precautions observed, remove the ram memory module/s.

Clean the gold plated contact pins on the bottom of the ram memory modules, with a pencil eraser.
Use air to remove the eraser dust.
(Can of compressed air for computers, or air pressure from your mouth will be sufficient)

Reinstall the ram memory modules, close the computer case, plug the computer into power.
WAIT 1 minute, turn the computer on.

HP xw4400 workstation wont boot/start if RAM are inserted.
If you are increasing the RAM from 1Gb to 2Gb then the RAM maybe incompatible. Try using a RAM module as the original make and speed.
Try installing one RAM module at a time to see if one of the RAM modules is faulty.
Removing the RAM will give a POST error code of no RAM or faulty RAM.

HP workstation going to sleep mode when windows logo appears.and it is working in safe mode and vga mode.
Did you change your monitor / resolution / card drivers / refresh rate?
Sounds like your computer resolution is out of range for the monitor. (or refresh rate)

Solution: Boot in safe mode and change the resolution, then boot to normal.

Optional: Update graphic card drivers.

Hp xw9300 workstation bios shows 4gb of installed ram but the system properties when the pc is booted up only show 2gb of ram. Whats the fix for this?
If you running a 32 bit version Operating system it does happen. since there's a limit for 32 bit operation though the mother board can handle 4gb.
other common cases: 1 of the sticks are bad. try to reseat the memory sticks to isolate which ram is not detected.thanks

Hp xw9300 has 4gb of memory installed however the system properties only shows 2 gb of memory. the bios shows 4gb of memory
This article alnog with the possibility that your graphics card is using maybe a gig of memory may explain why you don't see the 4G memory in system properties. Of course it would be useful to indicate what operating system you're using.

Have an HP xw9300 with 8GB of physical RAM but Windows XP-32-bit is only seeing 2GB and the system Bios is seeing 8GB. XP-64-bit sees all 8GB of RAM Expected 32-bit XP to see 4GB of RAM Why is the OS...

Problem: More than 2GB of RAM is installed, yet the 32-bit OS only sees 2GB.

Cause: Memory remapping is enabled.

Solution: Enter Computer Setup (F10) and disable memory remapping: Advanced > Chipset/Memory.
