This is typical as the SMPS power supply is shorted when the connector is on to the board. when you remove the connector, the short releases and the power resumes as the SMPS has a high current cut off for protection.
So the easy way out is to have a multimeter and check the power line to the circuit disconnected to check out the shorted driver. Once you have zeroed in to the component release and connect power supply to confirm. Now replace the shorted component.
make sure that any high voltage in circuits are discharged when you use the ohmmeter in the circuit.

Have a Samsung 6200 series with no picture, but picture with a flashlight. I think it is the power supply board.

The LED's are getting low to no power, not likely burned out, but power supply is a good guess if it's not the electronic circuit that controls brightness.

More likely you are seeing something like 4.3 volts and misinterpreting the multi-meter display. Common DC voltages are going to be 12v, 5v and 3.3v but other voltages may be used for the LED back-lighting and may be variable per the brightness circuit.

The capacitors have failed. Don't put power on it! Replace the swelled Capacitors with the same Value and Voltage and Size. Those bad capitors will cause a myiaid of problems.

Why is it displaying sc300 error?

High voltage power output error The measured voltage is not correct when the EGB measures each charge output (charge, development, image transfer belt unit, and transfer unit).
  • Disconnected or defective high voltage harness
  • Defective high voltage power supply
  • Defective EGB
  1. Check or replace the harnesses.
  2. Replace the high voltage power supply board
  3. Replace the EGB.

Power Supply Issue - Green LED ON..no power up

tried to disconnected the 24v supply connectors going to the power inverter board which may the cause of voltage drop. after you disconnect then if still no output 24v dc coming from the power supply board the cause will be bad power supply board. check for an open resistance or bad regulators going to the 24vdc out. by the way you should connect all the connectors going to the main board to turn on the processor and the inv_on voltage going to the inverter board.

My led power indicator flashes seven times, when i cut the tv on it cuts back off. How do i fix this problem?

  • Seven blinks - High voltage shutdown. The high voltage has exceeded 33k and the unit goes immediately into safety shutdown. Check power supply regulation and horizontal circuits.
Hope that helps.

Hi,

Does the standby light continue to blink? IF so, count the number of blinks and go to:

Continuous Blink Once A Second, No Pausing As Discussed Above---
No reply from the jungle IC301 (data bus is busy, shorted to ground or held high), IK video path is defective.

ONE Blink--- not used for the self-diagnosis

TWO Blinks---B+ over current protection (OCP) , unit goes to the standby mode then displays the 2 blink fault. Could be a short in the power supply of any of the circuits.

THREE Blinks---B+ over voltage protection (OVP), unit goes to the standby mode then displays the 3 blink fault. This is also a problem in the power supply circuit, check T603 and R672.

FOUR Blinks---No Vert. Deflection (V STOP), Screen goes to a single horizontal line then the video signal muted. Check IC1509, Q1505

FIVE Blinks---AKB circuit (AKB), the timer/standby indicator blinks for about 30 seconds then goes to the self-diagnosis function. Something is wrong with the video. Check video out, Q705, 732, 761 and other components on the C board, also check Q218, 219, 220 on the A board. Also unit be in IK blanking, try turning up screen slightly.

SIX Blinks---No Horizontal (H STOP), no raster, goes to the blinking self-diagnosis function immediately. Check C515 & 516 and the jungle IC, IC206.

SEVEN Blinks---High voltage shutdown. The high voltage has exceeded 33k and the unit goes immediately into safety shutdown. Check power supply regulation and horizontal circuits.

EIGHT Blinks---Problem with the audio (AUDIO), unit goes to standby and blinks the self-diagnosis code. Check IC406 audio amp, PS401 and 402.

That may help you decide what is going on.

In the long run you will probably need to have a tech take a look at it. The problem you describe is usually a serious matter that needs repair by a trained technician..

Goodluck,
Don't forget to rate me as fixya...

Pc no start.........

You might have a bad power supply. If you have a voltmeter, check the voltage of the standby power supply. This voltage is present even if the system is off, plugged in. It powers a small portion of the logic circuit. It should measure within a couple of tenths of exactly +5 volts. If it is low, or high, this will prevent turn-on. The purple wire of the 24 pin connector is what carries this to the motherboard. The color coding layout is found at http://pinouts.ru/Power/atx_v2_pinout.shtml If by chance this voltage is OK, then check the full on voltages also. Repair of the defective supply is probably by replacement of one or more small electrolytic capacitors in the appropriate circuit, especially if you are technically savvy. Capacitors are available through several suppliers; Digi-Key supplyies Panasonic FC series which are suitable for switching power supplies. Or, you may just replace the whole unit.
