Unit does not turn on

It worked just fine and I turned it off. I could not turn it back on. Charged it for a while, but it still does not turn on.

One day it works fine the next it won't turn on, even after charging. Is there a reset button or something? Had this for about a year. Tried holding in the power button, tried pushing the power button several times in a row, tried to find a reset button.

I had this same problem - the unit doesn't turn on.

I took the silver bezel off the front, and found that there were 4 screws holding the thing together, and that there was a reset button on the front. Reset button didn't do anything, of course, in my case, but after opening the case I found the culprit:

The board which has the charging unit, mic in, and line out on it, with markings
94V-0", "172-7", and "01067-00 V8", had blown a component on the board - it was black right next to where the line plugs in for the speakers and the battery. Looks like there's a 6 pin tiny component which looks like a relay or a pROM like a SPD chip on memory. Unfortunately, I don't see any markings on this. I think a solution would be to get a similar unit which uses the same charging/IO board and swap it - bad/cracked screen would be a perfect candidate. The other way would be to figure out how to get the particular part from Garmin themselves, because I'm not really into fixing surface mount solder points.

My car won't turn on it was working fine last

Just because you charged the battery it doesn't mean it is any good. Modern sealed batteries fail; just as you described, fine one moment and then nothing, they go open internally.

I have a sony cibershot camera for over a year now, it has always worked nicely, up until a month ago, it suddenly wont turn on anymore. I,ve already charged and re-charged the battery but nothing...

make sure the batt is charging and working fine.check also the batt contacts.make sure its clean.insert batt to your camera.instead of pressing the power button, press the play button instead to power camera on. if unit turns on,might actually be an issue w/the camera unable to power on in camera mode.if it turns on initialize cam (p.75 of the manual).see if it works.if still wont turn on try using a diff batt (or if you have an optional ac adapter model#acls5k use it, attempt to power on cam to isolate issue w/power source).if batt or ac adaptor not available try to check batt with another cam if possible to test batt. if still unit doesnt turn on using a fully charged, diff batt, or using an ac adaptor, unit would reuire service. hope this info helps.thanks:)

Its charged. i turn it on and it chuts right back

1. Make sure you will install a new or fully charged battery/batteries into your camera. 2. Clean the battery contacts. a. Remove the battery/batteries and the memory card from your camera, then wipe the battery contacts with a soft, clean cloth. b. Reinstall the battery/batteries into your camera. Please make sure that you are installing a fresh/ fully charged battery c. Without the memory card, turn your camera on. 4. Please test with the a different battery If you do not have access to another battery Try these steps instead: Please take the battery out of the camera. b. Insert the charger into the unit from the main socket and turn the camera on. If the camera works you will need to replace the battery. If you camera doesn?t switch on you will need to order a No power repair or a new cable. In order to organise your repair or Trade up please Contact KODAK:

My msi won't turn on. Battery is in, charged, and

Try unplugging it and removing the battery. Wait a few minutes. Yes actual minutes. Then put the battery back in and try again.

When you get back in try rolling back to a restore point when you know things were working well.

Could be a software update of some kind threw things out of whack.
