Question about Canon PIXMA MP150 All-In-One InkJet Printer
The 5400 error is telling you there was excessive temperature in the
printhead, and this error code will stop all printing attempts.
Unplug the power from the printer and leave it off for a hour and then check the pins inside the carriage and clean them and clean the contacts on the back of the head.

There is paper or something jammed in the printer open the jammed paper area from back this will relieve the 5400 error then reset

Unplugged from power source and cleaned clear strip near cartridges. Not sure which one worked, so try both!

SOURCE: My cannon printer, model MX700
If you open the cover like if you were to replace the ink, look in there and at the back of the inside of the machine there is a silver shaft, just above it you will see a thin greyish strip!Take a damp cloth and clean it very gently!!Should sort out your problem!!
