If back-light is OK, the fault will be with its T'Con board. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
I have the same problem, and no real solution, although I do find by hitting one of the keys several times in rapid succession, then pressing the standby button, the radio does tend to come on.
Really irritating, though, and I'd love to know how to fix it for good. Good luck - and do let me know if you find a solution.
Gilly
push the standby button and it should turn on the blue display should light up brighter make sure the speakers are pluged through the back and change the button that says source.. and change it too fm radio you should hear the static. hope this helps
Clearly, the DAB signal strength is poorer in the new radio position. Try moving it, even a foot or two can make a difference. Better still, use a roof aerial. The display can be changed, even in standby mode - press the Display button to see the 3 options.
It is possible for the display to be set so low that it is not illuminated at all. With the radio off (i.e. the set must be in standby), press and hold TUNE+ to raise the brightness level.
If this gets the display back, you may be able to see what has happened to the tuning. e.g. check whether the tuner is set to FM or DAB etc.
