First of all you have to install the appropriate graphics card drivers for your system (NVIDIA, ATI, Intel) If not, then it is very likely that your computer will not detect the full range of monitor resolutions that are usable. With Windows Vista and 7, this problem itself is less of an issue. After finishing withe the VGA drivers installation, choose start - settings - control panel - screen - settings and adjust yor resolution at 1366x768. This is the native resolution for your monitor and at this setting you will get the best result.
