Handspring Visor not powering on

My handheld Handspring Visor works sometimes and sometimes it won't power on. I sync all of my data from my work desktop and when i try to power it on the next day, there's no response. A few times before i've tried to perform a soft reset and it doesn't respond to that, so I'm forced to perform a hard reset. I have a very busy schedule and have grown to depend on my handheld. Is there any advice to correcting this problem?
