Assumption you are using XP Operating System(OS).
You cannot install "add/Remove" icon to your system, because it is part of the OS.
For some reasons the add/remove programs option (appwiz.cpl) is corrupted has `gone missing` from the control panel? Your PC might be infected with Malwares or "Nasty Root-Kits".

Resolution
1. Download "Malwarebytes Anti-Malware free version", install update and do a full scan and remove any of those "nasty files".
2. Download "SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition", install update and do a full scan and remove any of those "nasty files".
3. Do a virus scan too!

After the clean up, reboot your PC and see whether your 'Add/Remove' is there.

If you still can't see the "Add/Remove" icon,
then download the Registry file "28. Control Panel Icons are Missing" - download the registry file and add to your registry @ kellys-korner-xp.com.

Hope it helps.

I have multiple icons on my android and I don't know how to remove them

Removal could vary depending on the phone you are using and the version of android you have, and which screen the icons are on.

If the icons have been added to the home screen, on my S4 just press and hold the icon that you want to remove (just a couple of seconds), then drag the icon to the bin at the top of the screen.

If you want to prevent icons being added to the home screen when you install new apps, goto the google play store on your phone, and click on 'Play Store' at the top of the screen. Then goto 'Settings' and untick 'Add icon to Home screen'. Any new installs will be in you applications folder but will not be added to the home screen.

I want to remove the icons from the computer

Hi,

You can remove icons by right-clicking and deleting them. If it is in the "All Users" profile, it will probably come back. Also, this will not remove the underlying program.

If you want to uninstall the program. Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Add and Remove Programs, and choose the program, and click remove. Follow the prompts for removal. Most programs clean up the icons installed. If not you may have to right-click and delete after installation.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.
Thanks

XP Pro

Reinstalling Windows can be done in two ways...

1. Install it over your current installation.
2. Install from scratch.

The best thing to do is back-up data on some other disk that you cannot miss. Make s since a clean install will erase all data. Installing Windows over your existing installtion is not advised since it makes a huge mess out of things.

I'm not sure about the upgrade CD. It should work, if it doesn't you need to install a copy of XP first and then use the upgrade CD over it.

I hope this helps you out. Please rate the solution.

Greetings,

DarkNeogen.
