Question about Vacuums

1 Answer

Hello, I have an electrolux tweanclean EL7055A vacuum canister, and can't switch it on anymore. The cleaning system is working well (so the power is ok) but the command which is not directly in the canister seems not working. What I can do to test if the problem is here ?

I have an electrolux 6000 series that will not stay on, if you hold switch located inside canister down it stays on but once closed it will not.

I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. The problem you are describing sounds to me like you have a electrical hose problem where the wires on the inside of the electrical are bad and not creating a solid signal for the power. Or you may have a bad switch and both can be repaired but the electrical hose would be the more expensive of the two (2). You can check with your local vac dealer or contact the Electrolux website or factory phone # for further assistance. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Heppa filter keeps popping off when i turn on the vacum

Hi There, 99 times out of 100 this is due to the exhaust filter being too blocked for the air to actually get through. What happens is that the pressure in the motor increases and effectively blows the filter and filter cage clean off. If you have a look at the underside of the filter I would bet that it is very dirty and you will need to buy a new hepa filter

The telescopic wand on my electolux oxygen is stuck. Any ideas how to fix or trouble shoot this?

Believe it or not, dish soap and water can usually free that up. the other cure is silicone spray and heat.

Electrolux EL 7001 Oxygen 3 power cord continually retracts

The button has two parts - the inner part (button) and the outer part (surrounds the button). The press the outer part to deactivate (pop out!) the inner part.

It took me a while to figure this thing out, but I was glad the vacuum wasn't broken.

You can't repair the want cord. It must be replaced. If burned at top or bottom contacts you must also replace opposite mating connection
