Question about Transcend StoreJet 2.5 (TS120GSJ25T) 120 GB USB 2.0 Hard Drive
First thing to try, is to plug it into a different usb port, and see if it will be detected that way. To make sure the hard drive is good, try to plug it into another known good computer. The cord could also be bad, or a solder joint could be cracked on the hard drive. The usb drivers could be failing, in which case you can go into Control Panel, Hardware, and USB ports, and right click, delete them, and restart windows to have them reloaded. Other than that, the usb hub could be faulty in the computer.
Make sure your bios is set properly if it has to be adjusted in some respect.
Here's some things to check out in this web blog about the same type problem:
Good luck, and hope this helps.
