My interior lights above rear view lights come on when i stop or brake, then go off when i drive again

Hi ...

Friend tracked a similar problem to wiring within, in his case, the front passenger door. Bumps, temp fluxes, just about anything might randomly cause an intermittent short in the wiring that led to the door- open, plunger switch ... which, ideally, makes interior lights go on when doors open and off when doors are securely closed.

He took off the interior door panel (suspecting the most used driver & passenger doors as the problem's source) and traced the bundle of wires that eventually fed the door, plunger switch. Can't recall if something was loose or missing wire insulation that just needed electrical taping.

I remember thinking that the door panel removal, w/o breaking the panel "clips," to assure they're intact for panel RE-attachment, might be a trickier pain for mangy of us!

Have your flashlight, ultra thin screw drivers & needle nose pliers handy as most clips are plastic ... & unpredictably unforgiving! ;-)

They're vaguely like the butterfly/toggles used to anchor hooks, etc. on to drywall. Just a solid piece of (usually) plastic, so no spring/hinged part.

Imagine a capital "T" inside of & over a capital "V" ... the top of the "T" fits a slot in the door panel & the V part pushed through a corresponding hole in the metal comprising the car door.

Hope this fix applies to & works for your prob, too!

Cheers! ;-)

Front load washer door will not lock

Hello Phyllis Emmett - Do you notice any error codes displayed on the control panel or lights blinking? If so and the panel displays "DR", the door may have a defective door lock switch. However, if panel displays "DDO" either the drawer is not closing, magnet may be missing or have a defective reed switch, which you will need to contact a professional to diagnose the unit.

No display on LCD panel on my whirlpool microwave

I do not know what procedure you used to replace the door, but if the buttons and display were working fine before you replaced the door then it seems that there is a plug not plugged into the control display panel. Other than that the low voltage power supply may not be providing the needed voltage for the display and only for the logic circuits which are a different voltage. With the microwave unplugged, take the cover off and look at all the connectors and make sure that they are plugged into something and none that are not plugged in. They should all go somewhere. To answer your original question, there is only one main fuse to the microwave. The circuitry in the control panel operates on low voltages +/- 5 volts or +/-12v so that part is not fused. What I recommend also is to go back mentally through the procedure you used to replace the door and that may give you a clue as to what you unplugged, although you should not have to unplug anything.
