Wat does it mean to ground the wire wat exactly do do with wire
To ground a wire is just to pretty much hook it to the negative battery terminal. And since, the body of your car is directly tied to the negative battery terminal, just attach the wire to the body of your car. Some times there is already a ground run and I would typically use one of those. In your case I would just run it to the ground behind the radio. The black wire you hooked up for the power of the head unit is what you need to wire it to. Let me know if you need more help. Good luck
