This grinder needs the twin-lug spanner for the front lock nut and it has a locking button to hold the spindle. Spray with WD40 and wait a bit, then get a piece of pipe etc and use as a breaker bar on the lug spanner while someone holds the grinder down. If this fails, use a gas torch (low flame) to gently heat the locknut & try again - ensure flame doesn't heat spindle or other parts of drill.

Probably not, Remember the nut is a reverse thread. Your best bet it to try some penetrating fluid or try tapping the nut with a screwdriver, hopefully the vibration will help loosen it. Another trick that sometimes works if the machine has a diamond blade or an abrasive wheel with some life left on it is to put on a pair of heavy duty work gloves. Lock the arbor and try to grab the wheel tight and try to spin the wheel loose with your hand. Don't forget to unplug the machine before attempting to remove the wheel.

Need to see how to change a blade please

make sure the saw is disconnected from the power point
place a screw driver in the teeth of the saw and turn it back until it locks against the base plate ( some blades have a hole in the blade through which a pin can be placed )
undo the spindle nut
replace the blade and do the nut up tight

How to change blades on a cox stockman mower

You will have to put it on ramps or find some way to get it off teh ground so you can get under the deck. The blades will have 1 large nut that you need to remove and thats it. Just take the nut off replace the blade and put the nut back on.

How do I change my blade? I lost the manual. it has a guard and when I try to loosen nut it cant come all the way out cause the guard is there

Generally, depending on the manufacturer, the nut only has to be loosened and then looking from the blade end you will see a slotted screw. Turn the screw counterclockwise while wiggling the chain bar until the blade is loose enough to remove from the guides. You may have to put a small flat screwdriver under the retaining nut and pry up lightly while loosening the nuit with a wrench or socket..After backing the nut off enough the blade bar should slip up and away from the drive gear.

How do i change the blade

1) unplug the saw
2) raise the blade completely
3) remove the "throat plate" so you can see the nut holding the blade
4) put a wrench on the bolt from above, and push all the way to the back
5) place a block of wood in front of the blade's teeth (sometimes a screwdriver in the hook between the teeth).
6) pull the handle of the wrench toward the front of the table to loosen the nut. Remove the nut and the blade.

Changing blades. To loosen the blades nut, which way does it turn?

hi. you dont say what make or model but I offer the following. if it's just a single bolt or nut holding the blade it will rely on a bellville type washer (dished ) or will be pegged either side of the nut or bolt, if the later try to drive the pegs down level with the mounting boss, now get a couple of friends to lift the whole deck so you can secure the nut or bolt in a vice (vise) and using both hands turn the blade itself the opposite way that you would turn the nut, this has never failed for me, if the blades counter rotate, one will be left hand thread the other right hand. bear in mind that a rotary blade spins at around 150-200 mph, every time you hit an obstruction (and you will) the blade will tighten particularly if secured with a belleville type washer. best of luck

Change blade miter saw

Un-plug the saw. Remove the screws holding the side saw guard in place. Look at the center of the saw blade for the nut holding it in place. Take a socket wrench that fits the nut and loosen it. You'll need to take a scrap piece of wood 2x4, and jamb the teeth of the blade into it while loosening the nut. The nut will come off first and then a washer/spacer.

Reverse the order for installing the new blade. Make sure you use the proper size diameter blade (10 inch) and mounting hole in the replacement blade. Also, use the provided washer/spacers that were on the original blade and secure the nut. Spin by hand to see if everything clears. Mount the protective guard back on. Plug in the saw and test cut .

Good luck. If you are still unsure - ask a handy neighbor to help. It takes about 5 minutes to complete this task.
