Each burner has its own switch. I suspect your switch on that burner is bad or going bad. Conracts probably burring up from the constant arcing associated with closing and opening. Here is how it works:

Burners light but igniters will not stop flashing on some burners but not all

hello,
this usually happens either when the inside of one of the switches arcs from one side to the other leaving the switch opened at all times or if all were lighting I would suspect the spark modulator but your issue sounds like it would be a switch issue which you would have to trace using a multimeter to find out which one is bypassing power even when its set to off you would also have to replace whichever switch is at fault as well if you have any further questions message me back and please remember to rank how this opinion has helped it allows me to continue helping others in similar situations in the future Thanks again for using fixya Rick

Look on the front pannel. thier should be a "latching Switch" indicated by "4 X 2" little arrowes. The 4 is " pull the triger -- the release the arc continues, the "2" is pull the trigger and the arc startes release the trigger the arc stops simplesssssssss

Ignitors click and we smell gas, but burners don't light. They will light manually with no problem

Ignitors arcing at the burners? Check to see...you may need to clean the rings around the burner assembly to get a good arc so they will light.

First of all- when you turn any ONE of the burner knobs to "ignite" all FOUR burners will spark/click. This is normal. If you're getting a spark from the ignitors when all knobs are set to "off" then you most likely either got some moisture into one or more of the switches below the knobs (sometimes they will dry out and be fine after a while, but I have seen them burn-up/melt/arc too) OR one or more of the switches is stuck/shorted. Good luck and hope this helps.
Unplug the range before working on it and don't attempt anything you're unfamiliar or uncomfortable with.

The clicking is the electrode arcing. when the burner lights, a sensor tells the electrode to stop sparking after is heats up a little, that's why is clicks a little after the burner lights, but then stops. If the spark keeps going, the sensor is not registering the flame. The ones that do not click could be the ignite coil, the wire, or the electrode.
