What does it mean when dc pops up on the washer?

DC error code means: "Unbalanced load". It can occur if the washer:
1. is overloaded (too many clothes inserted),
2. can't balance the load within a few balance cycles,
3. has a damaged balance sensor,
4. isn't regulated properly (vibrates abnormally).
IMHO you just overloaded the washer :)

dc means clog in the filter. look to the lower left front of the washer for the filter door. Take off the door and pull out the short hose. Empty the water from the hose, this could be lots of water be prepared. Then pull out the filter on the right by twisting counter clockwise and rinse the filter. Put it back together and the error should go away

"dc" means that the control board is trying to ramp up (that is, send a signal to the motor controller), but has encountered an unbalanced load and so shuts down. Specifically, "dc" means "distribute clothes".

I took this opportunity to upload a Tech and Troubleshooting manual for you. Here is the link for it. Read it carefully. You will be required to perform a "board output" test after placing the machine in "Service Mode".

I gotta tell ya, though. Based on my history with these, I highly suspect that the machine control board has failed. Let me know what you find, OK?

If the clutch fails the first thing noticed is a UC or DC error displayed and there is no drain or spin.

If you are seeing the above error and having a problem with spin and drain then the most likely cause of this is the clutch. The clutch fails to lock down the spinners and the basket is unable to go into spin and without a 90 RPM there is no drain.

Replace the clutch.

This happened to me when i was washing a single shirt (red shirt, first time washing so i did it seperately so it wouldnt bleed into other clothes)

So i set the washer to "drain", waited for the door to open, and wrung the shirt out by hand. Next load it worked properly.

A dc error means that the clothing is not being distributed properly in the basket. This usually happens when the machine is lightly loaded. If the load seems o.k. then the problem is probably with the sensor at the side of the basket.
