Try uninstalling the printer, go to Kodak website and download install software and follow directions EXACTLY, specifically many printers do not work properly if you plug and play. and you have little if any multi function.

How to get your Dell 964 AIO printer to work correctly in Windows 7

Read through all the steps and get a good understanding of process before starting.

Step 1:
Perform manual Un-installation of OLD printer drivers Click Start > Devices And Printers, right-click on the Dell AIO 964 printer icon, and click on Remove This Device.

Step 2: Unplug the USB cable from the computer.

Step 3: Download the ZIP file R166225.ZIP from the Dell website here:

http://support.us.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&releaseid=R166225&formatcnt=2&libid=0&typeid=-1&dateid=-1&formatid=-1&fileid=224455

Step 4:
Extract all the files from R166225.ZIP intoa separate folder by themselves. Remember the location of the folder for later use. It would be best to create a new folder and extract the files to that folder to make it easier.

Step 5: Navigate to the directory you extracted the files to, locate SETUP.EXE, and run it. This will run the Dell Clean-Up Utility, which removes old printer drivers/files from your system. You may need to navigate to a sub-folder named "CleanUp_Utility" under the folder that you just created in order to run SETUP.EXE.

Step 6: Reboot the computer when prompted.

Step 7: Download the self-extracting file R146813.EXE here:

http://support.us.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&releaseid=R146813&formatcnt=1&libid=0&fileid=195111

Step 8:
Navigate to the file R146813.EXE, right-click the file name, click Properties, click the Compatibility Tab, and check off the following check boxes: Runthis program in compatibility mode for: (then select Windows VistaService Pack 2), and Run this program as an administrator.

Step 9:
Right-click SETUP.EXE, click Run as Administrator, and run SETUP.EXE.You might be able to get away with just running the executable withoutthis step, but I included it for redundancy and for safety's sake.

Step 10: Re-connect the USB cable to your computer when prompted by the Setup Utility. A small warning: when I did this step, Windows detected my printer and installed its own native drivers forthe printer, and a dialog box popped up attempting to print analignment page. I ignored this dialog box entirely. If this happens, you will be prompted by the Setup Utility to update the driver, which is what you want to do. Continue to run the Setup Utility as normal.

Step 11: Reboot the computer again.

Step 12:
After starting up Windows 7 and logging in, Click Start > Devices and Printers, double-click the printer icon. Click Customize your Printer, then the Ports Tab. Check off "Enable bidirectional support."

Step 13:
Verify that the printer is communicating with the operating system by printing a test page. You can go back to Customize your Printer and click Print Test Page.

Step 14:
If it still doesn't work try and reboot and try printing test page again.

Thank you and enjoy the tip.

My 2480 hp new printer doesn t print with colors.what s wrong?

The typical cause of not getting color from the PC (yet the test page prints is color) is the printer driver is setup to print in grayscale.

Check the settings from Control Panel, Printers. Right click on the printer icon and choose Properties. In the Advanced (or Setup) tab is an option for "Print In Grayscale".

If this is checked, then this would be the answer. Uncheck it, click Apply, then OK, and close the Printers window.

If this box is not checked, then you may not have the correct driver installed.

The following HP WEB page is the location from which you can download the most recent driver for your printer:

Where is the serial number on an HP Officejet J6480 All-in-One printer

Usually the serial number can be found either in the back or in the bottom of the printer.

If your printer is working you can print a self diagnostic page which would have the serial number.

To print the Self-Test Diagnostic Page
• Device control panel: Press Setup, select Print Report, select Self-Test Report,
and then press OK.
• Toolbox (Windows): Click the Services tab, and then click Print a Test Page.

Pages not showing any print

In this case, the first thing that I would do is re-install the printer.

Delete the printer from your computer then, if you have the installation disk, run the setup program to reinstall the printer and all of its drivers.
If you don't have or don't want to use the installation disk, you can download drivers directly from the manufacturer's Web site here
http://downloads.lexmark.com/perl/downloads/downloads.cgi

I could have provided a link directly to the download page if you would have provided the name of your operating system (Windows 2000, XP, Vista, etc). However, it's fairly simple finding your drivers. After you get to the Lexmark Web site you will need to type your printer model (1100 Colorjet) in the text box.
On the next page, you will need to select your operating system.
The following page will provide a link to download the driver files used to install the printer.
Make sure you download the correct drivers for your printer model. Using the incorrect drivers can cause print issues such as this one or cause wierd characters to print instead of letters. This kind of thing can also happen if one of the entries placed in the Windows registry by the printer software has become corrupt.

Download the file and run it to re-install the printer.
Print a test page from the printer itself to rule out any issues with the hardware. (You might also want to download the users guide if you don't know how to print a test page from the printer). If the page comes out blank, you will have to stop here and find out why you can't print directly from the printer (this would be an issue caused by the printer). If not, you can move on to the next step.

Next, print a test page from the operating system to rule out any problems related to hardware.
Start > Printers and Faxes > Right-click printer > Click Properties on the General Tab > Click Print Test Page.
If both test pages print successfully then you should be able to print anything without a problem and can try to print and email or word document to see how it comes out.
If the test page printed from the printer came out okay but this one came out blank, this indicates a software related issue and you would have to troubleshoot further.

I know this sounds like a lot to do, however, all you need to do is download the correct drivers (unless you choose to use the CD that came with it), uninstall then re-install the printer, and print a test page from the printer, one from the computer, then print any random document.

Hope this helps and thanks for using Fixya.

Hp6310 officejet all in one

Hi,
here is solution..
Solution Step one: Make sure that the product prints correctly
  1. Print a self-test page from the product control panel, from Windows, or from the product software. (See the product user guide, available online, for instructions to print a self-test page.)
  2. Check to make sure that black and all colors (if using a color product) print on the self-test page.
    • If the self-test page does not print correctly, an issue might exist with the product hardware. See the product user guide, available online, for further troubleshooting steps.
    • If the self-test page prints correctly, continue with the next step.
Step two: Determine what portion of the page is set to print Many Web pages use frames. Frames divide the screen into multiple windows. Follow these steps to determine what portion of the page is set to print.
  1. Click the Internet Explorer icon on the desktop. The Internet Explorer window opens.
  2. On the File menu, click Print . The Print dialog box opens.
  3. Click the Options tab to view the print settings.
  4. Change the settings if required, and then click Print .
Step three: Change the Encoding setting in the Web browser
  1. Click the Internet Explorer icon on the desktop. The Internet Explorer window opens.
  2. On the Menu bar, click View .
  3. Click Encoding to view a list of encoding options.
  4. Check the Encoding settings.
    • If Auto Select has a check mark next to it, click to clear the check box.
    • If Western European Windows does not have a check mark next to it, select it.
Try printing again. If the issue continues, proceed to the next step. Step four: Check the page setup settings for the Web browser Web pages are designed to be viewed at a certain screen resolution. If the resolution of the screen is lower than the resolution of the Web page, the whole screen might not display or might not be printed.
  1. Make sure that Internet Explorer is open.
  2. On the File menu, click Page Setup . The Page Setup dialog box opens.
  3. Review the Margins information.
  4. Make sure that the margin settings are greater than or equal to the minimum printable region margins for the product. The margins vary slightly among HP All-in-One products. As a general rule, the settings should be at least the values shown in the following table. Side Margin Top Margin Bottom Margin 6.3 mm (0.25 inch) 6.3 mm (0.25 inch) 6.3 mm (0.25 inch)
  5. Make necessary changes to the margin settings.
  6. Click OK to save the changes.
Try printing again. If the issue continues, proceed to the next step. Step five: Print using Smart Web printing software HP Smart Web Printing is fast, free, downloadable software that enhances how Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox print Web pages. Use HP Smart Web Printing for the following tasks:
  • Select text and graphics from any Web site
  • Save paper by combining portions of numerous Web pages
  • Preview and modify clips before printing
Thank you.......

Error Number : 300 The printer does not respond. Make sure that the printer is plugged in, powered-on, and properly connected to your computer.

I had this problem with a Canon IP5200R connecting to a Mac Book Pro running Leopard. I had setup the printer as per instructions using the setup utility, could print a test page using the utils but could not print from an app.

My solution was to delete the printer (System Prefs > Print & Fax) listed in the system preferences and then re-add by clicking the '+' in the pref panel, then selecting 'More Printers' from the popup window. If you have the printer connected to the network correctly it should show up and you can simply re-add it. My printing now works correctly.

Not working on window 2003 server as a network printer

I have had a similar issue with both laserjet 3005N and 1320N machines setup as network printers on a windows 2003 print server. Both machines install correctly and print test pages but once you push to much of a print job to it (in my case it was a 12mb pdf file) the printer stops printing and never prints again for some reason. After a quick reboot a test page will print but what gives?? Buffer issues? Not enough ram? None of this makes sense since the printer displays nothing and just stops printNo test pages or anything. I tried re-installing it and rebooting it. Nothing.
