Hi my fridge freezer isn't cooling or freezing it seems like its trying to go on but then stops again

Hi Gerardine.
The evaporator fan motor circulates the cold air from the coils thru the compartment. If there is only one evaporator it is in the freezer side. If the fan is not working, no cold air will get to the refrigerator compartment. The freezer may still get cold.

Refrigerator part not keeping cold- freezer freezing. I unplugged it . Cleaned the freezer and thawed it out. It seems ok but the refrigerator part is not cold.

There is a fan that delivers cold air from freezer to the fridge section. if freezer is working fine, and fridge part is not cooling replace the fan motor/fan

My freezer is working, but there is no cold air blowing into the refrigerator. It seems like in could be a problem with the refrigerator thermostat or defrost-timer. Do you have any suggestions?

I had the exact same problem with my Frigidare. The fan motor went out and cold air could not be forced into the refrigerator compartment. The fan is located in the back of the freezer compartment. Not too tough of a fix.

Refrigerator not cold enough and freezer is too cold making food very hard? water seems to leaking on bottom of freezer and refrigerator.

Refrigerators with attached freezers typically keep the two compartments at predetermined temperatures, but failure of some components can lead the refrigerator to seem warm while the freezer portion completely freezes.

Fan Issues
According to the appliance website Appliance Aid, many freezers contain a fan that blows cold air throughout the freezer and into the attached refrigerator. If this fan fails, the site explains that the freezer may become too cold; the refrigerator will not receive air circulation from the freezer, though, and will remain warmer than normal.

Air Damper
Appliance Aid also notes that most refrigerator and freezer combinations contain a damper that regulates the flow of air between the two compartments. If the damper sticks or fails to function properly, it may restrict the flow of air from the freezer to the refrigerator. The result of a failed damper would be a completely frozen freezer and a warmer than normal refrigerator.

Hope this would help.

Good day!

The freezer seems to be working fine but the refig doesn't seem to be cold enough.Do the freezer setting and the refig setter need to be set on the same number?

Normally what causes the refrigerator not to be cold enough is that the fan that pulls the air from the freezer is not working. Check to make sure it is working, if not then you will have to replace it.
No the freezer and refrigerator settings DO NOT have to be the same
