Question about Acer Aspire 5315-2153 Notebook
Reboot your computer and hit f8 at the acer splash screen. you will see a menu with many options.. choose the one that says restore to the last known good configuration. You will be given a list of dates, choose the one when you know that your computer was working correctly. It will then restore to an earlier point in time and this may work for you. If not, you may have to restore the computer and your backup is on the D: drive so windows will reinstall automatically. Reboot your computer once agian, hit f8 at the acer screen, arrow down to safe mode with command prompt. you will have a screen that says C: ...... at this screen type vol you will need this when you go to format your drive so write this down, it is your volume label. you will be at the C: again. type in format C: it will ask you if you are sure you want to format all data will be lost, type Y and hit enter.. next it will ask you to enter the volume label, type in the info you wrote down and hit enter, it will say it is formatting and this will erase everything extra on your computer that you have added, it will be like a brand new computer again. Once you reboot your computer windows will begin the inststall process, follow the prompts and you should be good to go!
