Question about Valor Multimedia DTS-603W Car DVD Player

Open Question

I have a Valor DTS-603W in my truck and the iPod source option is not working properly. The iPod itself will hook up and play the music, but the display is not showing the songs. If i change play lists, it only displays "No Songs" while it plays the songs. What is wrong with it?.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: i have a valor ida700w dvd cd car stereo in my

FYI..... for any one with a Valor IDA-700w.
The dvd/cd drive assembly was poorly designed.
the clamp that secures disc as it rotates mounts
on one side with a plastic pivot, fine, but the other side
uses a longer metal arm that also has the clamp spring.
The spring exerts too much pressure on the arm and cracks
its plastic anchor.
I repaired mine with JB weld and it plays cds but will not
play dvds, just hunts and hunts or skips.
Oh well, radio plays great-by the way, an undocumented feature
of the unit is that it has a Zoran decoder chip for Dolby Digital
and DTS-too bad drive is inferior.
DTS cd discs play great when it works!

When i hook up my ipod to the kcu cable nothings happening and i cant even find an ipod source channel on the head unit itself

Is there an option for AUX or Auxilary input anywhere on the head? Try switching the input source through all possible settings while playing the ipod and ensuring the volume is on, to see if it plays.

Ipod nano not show (not play) songs

iTunes includes several options to automatically or manually sync videos to your iPod classic, iPod nano (3rd generation), or iPod (5th generation). Read this article to learn more about these two methods.
Products Affected iTunes, iPod nano (3rd generation), iPod classic, iPod (5th generation)
Syncing videos automatically Connect your iPod to your computer and open iTunes. Select your iPod in the DEVICES section of the iTunes Source list.

In the main iTunes browser window, select the Music tab. Select the checkbox labeled "Sync music" and verify that the "Include music videos" checkbox is also selected. You have the option to sync all songs and playlists or selected playlists.

Movies can be automatically synced to iPod. Select the Movies tab and select the option to sync all movies, selected movies, or a certain number recent unwatched movies.

TV Shows can be automatically synced to iPod. Select the TV Shows tab and select the option to sync all TV shows or selected ones. You can also determine which episodes are synced based on if they are recent or unwatched.

Video Podcasts can be automatically synced to iPod. Select the Podcasts tab select the option to sync all podcasts or selected ones. You can also determine which episodes are synced based on if they are recent, new or unplayed.

Click Apply and iTunes will begin syncing the content you've selected to your iPod. Tip: You can use the capacity bar at the bottom of the iPod settings window to determine how much free space is available. The size of a playlist can be determined by selecting it and looking at the bottom of the iTunes window.

The iTunes LCD will display the sync progress and notify you when the iPod sync is complete.

DTS Master HD audio problem

Hey! Make shure your amp and blu-ray player output and input signals are set to "bitsteam" and you are useing HDMI and optical connections. I hooked up my Onkyo tx sr 506 integrated amp to a Samsung BD 1400 player and everthing worked perfectly right out of the box. Perhaps your amp can"t decode DTS HD Master or your blue ray doesn't support it although i think a firmware upgrade may accomplish this. Put on The Chronicles of Narnia Prince Caspian which will DEFAULT to DTS HD MASTER 7.1 and see if it works. It's an excellent source to test your system. Picture and audio recieved 5 stars from Home Theatre magaziene and like i said, either your amp, or player doesn't support it or your interconnects are keeping it from coming thru. HDMI and OPTICAL connects and check your set up for "bitstream" Remember what Todd Rundgren allways said,"Everything will work if you just let it!"

  • Choose the songs you want to delete and press delete! How simple is that?!
How to remove songs from your iPod automatically. (When you iPod is set to default settings)
  • To remove songs from your iPod automatically, just delete the songs you want to from your iTunes library.
  • When the default setting is on, songs that are deleted from your iTunes Library will also be deleted from the iPod.

Downloaded music plays for 10 seconds

First try to reset:

First make sure your hold switch isn't on. It's on the top or bottom and slides back and forth. It needs to be switched to the left. Once it is to the left, here's how you reset:

You can reset your ipod by holding down the menu and select (round button in the center) buttons down for at least 10 seconds. You'll see an apple logo flash, that's when you stop pressing the buttons. It will shut off, then back on.

If that doesn't work, try a restore:

How to restore iPod
  1. Ensure that you have an active Internet connection as new versions of iTunes and iPod Software may need to be downloaded to your computer.
  2. Download and install the latest version of iTunes if you do not already have it installed.
  3. Open iTunes, and then connect your iPod to your computer using the USB or FireWire cable that came with your iPod.
  4. After a few moments, your iPod will appear in the Source panel in iTunes.
  5. Select your iPod in the Source panel and you will see information about your iPod appear in the Summary tab of the main iTunes windows.
  6. Click the Restore button. You will be prompted with one or more restore options that may prompt iTunes to automatically download the latest iPod Software. The 4 possible restore options are:
    • Restore Option 1: Restore - Restores with same iPod Software version already on iPod.
    • Restore Option 2: Use Same Version - Restores with same iPod Software version already on iPod even though a newer version is available.
    • Restore Option 3: Use Newest Version - Restores with the latest iPod Software available.
    • Restore Option 4: Restore and Update - Restores with the latest iPod Software available.
  7. If you are using a Mac, a message will appear prompting you to enter an administrator’s name and password.
  8. A progress bar will appear on the computer screen indicating that the first stage of the restore process has started. When this stage is completed, iTunes will present one of two messages on screen with instructions specific to the iPod model you are restoring.
    • Restore Instruction 1: Disconnect iPod and connect it to iPod Power Adapter (typically applies to older iPod models).
    • Restore Instruction 2: Leave iPod connected to computer to complete restore (typically applies newer iPod models).
  9. During the stage 2 of the restore process, the iPod will show an Apple logo as well as a progress bar at the bottom of the display. It is critical that the iPod remains connected to the computer or iPod Power adapter during this stage. Note: The progress bar may be difficult to see since the backlight on the iPod display may be off.
  10. After stage 2 of the restore process is complete and the iPod is connected to the computer, the iTunes Setup Assistant window will appear asking you to name your iPod and choose your syncing preferences similar to when you connected your iPod for the first time.
