SOURCE: The ''clean'' light is on my cusinart coffee maker

Let a half caraffe worth of distilled white vinegar sit in the water reservoir for about an hour. After the hour, turn the coffeemaker on and let it brew the vinegar until a small amount of vinegar appears in the caraffe. turn the coffeemaker off and let it sit for an additional 20 minutes. Then turn the coffeemaker back on and let it brew the rest of the vinegar. Then run a full caraffe of plain water to flush the vinegar out. If the self-clean light remians on - unplug the coffeemaker for 20 minutes or longer - if you unplug it for any less than 15 minutes, the coffeemaker will not reset itself. You should be good after that - as long as you do some sort of vinegar/water cleaning once a month henceforth.

The cleaning light will not go off after i clean it

HI
If you are talking about the Clean button on the left.
After 250 cycles the machine needs to be cleaned. Push and hold the clean button for 5 seconds. Takes about 25 minutes. Add cleaning agent if you want to the brew unit.
You can turn the clean button off in the programing mode. Just push the the small cup button and the light should go out.

I keep running the vinegar and water solution through my coffee maker but the red clean button keeps blinking. It has to be clean by now. What do I do?

This may or may bot work but I had to call Cusinart myself about the clean light. They said to unplug the unit for 1 hour then reset the time clock and the Auto Off setting. This supposedly resets the unit back to the "Factory Settings" If after trying this it does not work... most likely the sensor is bad.
I can so relate to the stupid light. I was about to give up on mine and get another one as it would was becoming quite fussy. I was able to save my unit by using a cleaning product called "Eliminate Shower Tub & Tile Cleaner" I did not do a clean cycle. I just added the cleaner in the water reservoir overnight and let it sit. Then dumped the contents out (lots of gunk) rinsed it well.and performed a normal 1/3 cup vinegar 2/3 cup water cleaning cycle and finally did a 2 pot water only rinse. The light finally went out after doing the unplug for 1 hour reset the clock and Auto Off setting routine.
The cleaner is very hard to find.

I bought mine at Home Depot and most HD assistants have never heard of it. It is also available at many janitorial supply companies. One final note... soak your shower heads in this stuff overnight and it is like a miracle! They look brand new! Too bad the fragrance odor it has is a bit much for the senses but what a product!
One more... link. This is what the original product bottle looked like.

Lets hope you have the same success. I would try the un-plugging it for 1 hour thing first.
Just really trying to help you.
Thanks for choosing FixYa,

The light is on to clean it and I do not have an owner's manual. Can you please explain? How do I get the light to stop blinking?

Most coffee makers are cleaned by filling the reservoir with undiluted white vinegar (3 cups). (Do not add coffee.) Remove the water filtration disk if you use it before starting. Then start the brew cycle as if making a cup of coffee (including putting a paper filter or the permanent filter in the filter basket and close the lid). Put a decanter on the warming plate. After brewing, turn off the coffee maker and let stand for 30 minutes. Run another cup of vinegar through the coffee maker. Take the decanter filled with vinegar and discard the liquid (pour down the sink drain). Rinse the decanter. Fill the reservoir with clean water and put in a new paper filter (or clean the permanent filter and put it back). Again do not add coffee. Run a brew cycle to rinse the unit. Discard the water that is in the decanter after the brew cycle. Do a second clean water only brew cycle (with new empty paper filter or permanent filter after cleaning again). However, if you notice an odd taste, repeat the rinse cycle.

You can alternatively use the Mr. Coffee Coffee Maker Cleaner (mix as directed on that package). In either case, this removes mineral deposits (calcium from hard water). For soft water, the cleaning should be done every 80 brew cycles. If you have hard water, do this every 40 cycles.

The manual is available from www.mrcoffee.com/Product.aspx?pid=121 , if I have the correct product version. For some reason this site isn't coming up for me today. Check the manual to find out if there is any specific details for cleaning that aren't shared with other Mr. Coffee products.

I hope this helps.

Had the same issue. You have to let it run a cleaning cycle before before the light goes off. Turn machine off, empty pot, add 4 cup cleaning solution and hit the clean button (not the brew button). Let it go through this slow cycle like it says in the manual and it should reset itself.

What does the clean washer reminder light mean and what do I do to clean the machine? This washer was new in September, 09 and the light has been on for several weeks.

This is just a factory setting that reminds you to clean the washer to avoid that musty smell. You can buy tablets called Affresh or other similar cleaners for washing machines. They sell these items at Target, Walmart, Lowes and Home Depot. You can also substitue 1 Cup of Bleach in the washer. Then once you add whatever solution you have decided to clean it with you simply select the wash cycle on the machine called "Clean Washer with Affresh" Once you have done this the light should go out. You can also reset the indicator light by pushing the button next to the light that says Reset clean washer reminder. Hope this helps!! :)

I have a 12 cup cusinart grind & brew. The hopper is not working

You may have to clean the grinder....even more. That happened to me once. First I cleaned out the coffeemaker with the brush, and "dug" out more coffee, then I used this product which you can find on Amazon: "Urnex Grindz Coffee Grinder Cleaner - Urnex 17-GRINDZ12-40." It's expensive, but it really worked well.
