When my wife got home, she told me where she put the manual. After reading it, all you have to do is press the rinse button for 3 seconds and the lock light will go off. I am not going to take off any electrical panel.

I had the same problem..I took the back off the control panal that is located in the top of the door. there is a terminal strip with several different color wires conected to it . if you remover that terminal and then reconnect it..The lock control will be reset. then you can rerstart you dishwasher. It took all of 15 minutes to fix.

Dishwasher wont turn on when I press start and... the "3 second" lock light is constantly on??

Child Lock Controls
To prevent children from accidently changing the
dishwasher cycle or starting the dishwasher, lock the
dishwasher controls by pressing and releasing the RINSE
ONLY pad (some models) or the NO HEAT DRY pad (some
models) for 3 seconds while the door is latched. An
indicator light on the lock graphic pad will illuminate when
the controls are locked and no new selections can be made
until the lock is released. To unlock the controls, press the
same pad, RINSE ONLY or NO HEAT DRY, again for 2
seoncds until the indicator light goes out.

Hope this helps?

'low rinse' stuck on with full rinse aid, can't start wash cycle

Actually, if you look closely at that Low Rinse button or emblem, you will see a little lock symbol above the words "Low Rinse", and I'll bet THAT light is the one that is on. Basically, you have the control lock (or child-lock) turned on. To turn it off, you have to press and hold the Sanitize button for 3 to 5 seconds until that light goes off. Now your dishwasher will work!

24" builtin Frigidaire Dishwasher, light on top of door says, Hold to lock. I can not operate the machine while this lite is on.?

Hello Ray E. Weaver - Sounds like the Child Lock option may have been selected. This is a safety feature that allows you to lock and unlock the controls to keep children from interfering with the wash cycle etc. Press and hold the AIR DRY pad button for 3 seconds while the door is latched. This should unlock the control pad for you, light goes out and the unit will display the last cycle ran. However, if it does not, try resetting the unit by unplugging it for flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and turn the unit back on. However, if it proves to be ineffective I recommend contacting a professional to assist further. The dishwasher may possibly have faulty door lock switch.

The light on the pad lock icon is on and i can't do anything with the dishwasher

The lock feature is there to keep little fingers from turning on the dishwasher. Usually if you push and hold the lock button for 3 seconds the light will go out and the feature will deactivate.

The light will not come off of the rinse only that has a lock on it.and not other buttons will work. HELP!

Shanelle, you probably will have to have a service repair done on it. I recently had to replace the circuit board of my less than two year old machine. It cost me almost $300.00 My advice would be to never buy an appliance from the manufactor that gives so much trouble.
