I believe this used 1.25 inch eyepieces. Measure the eyepiece holder to make sure. (either 1.25 or .965)
If it is .965 diameter, Ebay is your best shot
If it is 1.25, there are tons of places (Ebay, Agena Astroproducts, Orion etc) Stick with lower power. A 20mm Eyepiece = 45x magnification. Then, if you like astronomy you can get more eyepieces and if they are 1.25 inch diameter, They will work in all future telescopes

Hi glad to see this i found a looks like a 5 in celestron with a wood tripod most parts are there need eye piece and the mirror it looks in to

This is a reflector style telescope. Measure the hole in the focuser-- eyepieces come in 3 sizes-- .965, 1.25, and 2 inch sizes. Buy the correct size. These are sold by many on line retailers, here is one:

How far should your eye be away from the eye piece,We are having trouble seeing anything and we are new to a telescope

It depend on the eyepiece anywhere from 10-20mm away.

Put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the focuser. DO NOT use the 2x barlow -- practice focusing on a distant object during the day time.

Meade ds-114at reflecting digital telescope is what I am looking into buying but it is missing the eye piece where can I get one or can I get one at all??

Do not buy that telescope. It is a tiny reflector style telescope, with a shaky tripod.

Instead look at one of these. Much more aperature and a stable Dobsonian mount.

or the 6 inch size model.

I have a DS114 Electronic Digital Meade. I only

1 1/4 inch OD is a standard size for eyepieces. You should be able to buy eyepieces in other focal lengths at any shop that sells telescopes, or online. I found hundreds of them with a quick search on Amazon, some made by Meade.

I need an eye piece for an orbitor 6500. could you avise where I might buy one? Thank you

I believe this scope uses 1.25 inch eyepieces. Measure the hole in the focuser.

Many on line retailers sell 1.25 inch eyepieces here are two:

I got a mead ds-114 telescope. & don't know how to use it!

the eye piece that came with your scope is too powerful... look on ebay or a site that sells telescopes. also look at the size of your eye piece holder... my ds-114 came with a 0.96 holder, these are an odd size.. the other size is 1.25 and the eye pieces are much easier to find. try looking at the moon when it is cresent shaped and start from there. if you have the autostar, you have to go through a set up sequence to start. then the scope will track the objects that you select on the goto function. don't give up!

Mirror fell out and broke I've got the 25 mm eye piece and lost the others

Not worth fixing-- next time you buy a telescope look at a small Dobsonian like this one--

http://www.telescope.com/control/product/~category_id=dobsonians/~pcategory=telescopes/~product_id=09804

or the 6 inch version of the same scope--
