Question about Bissell 9500 ProHeat 2X CleanShot Upright Deep Cleaner, Red Berends Vacuum

1 Answer

I've replaced the pump and belts. The problem is that I need a drawing or schematic on the routing of the plastic tubing in particular the tubing that comes off the pump and the tubing connection on the suction tube that attaches to the fan housing.

Hi,

Sorry to hear your belt fell out. Not good if you've never replaced a belt before...

Here is a website where you can read a detailed description of how to change a belt: http://www.ehow.com/how_8034505_eureka-belt-replacement-instructions.html

I don't think you'll need a photo, it's pretty straight forward. However, there are schematic diagrams for vacuums but they don't show how they go together.

If you have trouble, reply back to me and I'll try to describe for you.

Hope this helps. If it does, I'd appreciate a 4 thumbs up. Thanks,

Handie Andie

Unit is seated properly but water/fluid will not come out when I press the trigger. Suction works fine. Bissell ProHeat 2X used only four times.

You need to check that the motor drive belt is OK and turning freely to drive the water pump - under the flap on the right side at the front as you look at the front of the Bissell. If this is OK have you filled the cleaning bottle with fluid etc? If so you may have an airlock in the pipe from the bottle to the motor. You can also have a blockage from the pump to the dispenser nozzles and can test this by taking off the top cover and taking the plastic tubes off them to see if water comes out of the tube. You can also do the same for the tube from the tank to the pump to see if water is getting to the pump OK. Also make sure that the mix valve setting (on the left side - looking from the front) is not turned to the off position. This could also be blocked and need cleaning or replacing.

Schematics

Well you can right click the picture and save it to your desktop, I did it, but it was alittle blurry. But if this doesn't work for you, post me your email addy and I can send you a better picture. But take the top off, there are 6 screws, 3 on each side, remove the cap for the spinner, remember how the spinned and filter go back on before you re-install the cap, turn the smart mix valve half way so the piston doesn't come off, then pull the top off. replace the pump and remember which line goes where, make sure before putting the top back on that all lines are routed so as not to pinch. Start to put the top on, just before pushing it down, turn the smart mix vale to water only, then push it all of the way down. The cap for the spinned doesn't have to be real tight, sometimes you have to leave it just hand tight. Then turn it over and hook up the cogged belt again to the brush roll.

Bissell proheat self propelled series 7950 won't spray water and pump belt isn't broken.

I'm having the same issue and it was the pump. The metal drive gear sheared off of the plastic pump shaft. I JB Welded it back together, now I just need a schematic to reassemble the cleaner.

NOT DISPENSING

I had exactly the same problem with my five-year old my Bissell 7920, and it's probably a broken pump belt.  See page 19 of your instruction manual for how to replace.  The Bissel ProHeat belt accessory pack costs $3.99 and you get a pump belt and a brush belt.  Since you have to first remove the brush belt to get to the pump belt, you might as well replace both. The first time I did this it took me 15 minutes, but now that I know the drill, doing a belt replacement would take about 3 minutes.

Bissell Pro Heat gives no flow

Check the heater in the handle to make sure it isn't clogged up where the tubes hook to it. When you put the top back on, make sure the tubes are routed correctly so as not get pinched by the cover. The smart mix valve needs to be on the water setting and make sure that the piston is on the bottom of the smart mix knob. Is the seal at the bottom of the tank on the tank and not sitting in the hole or missing, tha flow indictor cap is leaking air or may even be on too tight.
