How to thread a Juki MO 816 DD6 industrial serger, please.

Did you get a book with it? If not, buy or access one online.

Copy the threading diagram from the book:.
1. Blow diagram up to full page size on the copy machine.
2.Make as many copies as the # of threads you are going to use (3 threads=3 copies, 5 threads=5 copies etc.)
3.Buy as many colors of magic marker as the number of threads you are using. (Or borrow from your kids, the neighbors or use crayons)
4.On copy #1, using the original threading diagram, use one color of magic marker to follow the thread through its patch from the thread cone to the needle.
5.Do the same with each of the other copies: Copy #2=thread #2, Copy #3=thread #3, etc.
6.Now you should have a page for each thread as it comes off the cone.
7.Use a thread color that corresponds to the magic marker color on your page to make it clearer. After it is threaded properly, you can tie the color you plan to use and pull them through.

By using different color threads, and a good light, it is easier to see if you have missed a place or crossed a couple thread improperly.

If all else fails, try to find someone else who knows how to do it to thread it for you, then take a couple close up pictures of the inside of the machine with it threaded properly, take them to the photo shop and have a copy made to keep with your machine to refer to in the future. Good Luck! Sergers are their own nightmare to thread but once you get it down, you will be fine and love it. Juki is one of the easiest of the bunch. If you have a pair of tweezers and a couple threading wires, it sometimes helps!

I have a juki tl98q sewing machine for my mid arm. The bottom thread keeps bunching up and I cannot sew anymore. What can I do to fix this? Do you have a diagram to thread the bottom bobbin and the top of...

The threading diagrams are available in the manual which is available from Juki on the TL-98Q product page: . The direct link to the manual is . See pages 14-18 (pages 16-21 of the PDF).

There are a couple of things I recommend that you check. First, make sure that the bobbin is evenly wound. This is a function of the bobbin winder tension; see the manual (page 15) for that adjustment. Next, check if the bobbin case tension is correct. Place the bobbin in the bobbin case and dangle the unit from the thread. Try to shake the bobbin case up and down, sort of like a yo-yo. The thread should advance by a bit. If the thread length doesn't change, loosen the set screw on the side of the bobbin case a small amount. If you get a really long tail of thread, tighten the set screw. See page 21 of the manual.

Next check for any loose threads and dirt in the housing around the bobbin case. Depending on the length of time that you have been using the needle, replace the needle.

I hope this helps.

Tension settings for the babylock sewing machine

I found that the tension setting of 1 worked. The main problem was the machine had thread wound around behind the bobbin. I had to take the plates that are under the foot out, clean out the thread, oil the machine and use a spool of thread that had more weight than the little spool I was trying to use.
