Power blue light flashing when i turn the computer on

It depends on where the blue light is. Is the blue light on the monitor or on the computer tower? If it is on the monitor the monitor is having problems and needs to be serviced. If it is on the tower it could be an issue with the power supply.

Power on blue light flashing on tower & screen - no picture

Open your computer and disconnect the power suppy on the motherboard for 3 to 5 minutes and then remove the RAM or memory on your motherboard then clean it by rubbing the pencil eraser or the rubber on the pin, After that, try to connect it all back and power on your computer. If the problem was not solve check your processor holding the heatsink if did not overheat. If it is normal just replace your motherboard because that was a problem and have damage.

I would get ahold of acer. It should be under warrenty. sounds like a hard drive issue to Me. Just because it is new doesn't mean it was right from the start. My neighbour had the same problem with his acer. I told him to but a dell or hp. good luck.

My tower will not turn on

It sounds as if your power supply is having issues, I would recommend replacing it.  If your good with computers, you can test the power supply: 1. Open the computer tower. 2. Find the main plug which runs from the power supply to the motherboard. 3. There should be 16 wires. 4. Find the green wire, short it to the black wire with a paper clip. 5. If the computer seems to turn on, its your motherboard having issues and you will probably need a new computer.  If it does not turn on, your power supply has failed, and you need to replace it.
I hope this helps!

Computer shutting down

do you get a blue screen when it shuts off? or... does the monitor just turn off, or does the computer tower and everything turn off?

If everything turns off,(like a normal shutdown) try checking your power options in the control panel, to make sure there aren't some power saving settings that are causing it.

If its a blue screen type issue, then there may be a hardware problem that is causing the computer to shutdown to avoid further damage to the system.
