I have used trutech/camarades webcam for years its version 2.2 which is the best version. When i try to open the program i'm getting an access violation.

I need more info... What is the operating system installed on your computer?

Have you every run Windows update recently?

Is this the first time you install this software?

Give me the brief description about your system's configuration.

There must be some error code/s with the "Access violation/denied...." if so, give me the full error message, there are several similar errors with similar codes, but the fixes and diagnostic measures are different...
Thanks...

The error message says fatal system error.

Hi. The STOP 0xC000021A error occurs when either Winlogon.exe or Csrss.exe fails. When the Windows NT kernel detects that either of these processes has stopped, it stops the system and raises the STOP 0xC000021A error. This error may have several causes. Among them are the following:
  • Mismatched system files have been installed.
  • A Service Pack installation has failed.
  • A backup program that is used to restore a hard disk did not correctly restore files that may have been in use.
  • An incompatible third-party program has been installed.
Booting the computer to its Last known good configuration will resolved the issue. Please see procedure below:

Turn of the computer
Keep on tapping F8 key the moment you press the power button
You should be getting a advanced boot screen
Select Last known good configuration from the selections then hit enter
Computer should be booting up by now to windows

All the best!

Bad image error message

Upon startup, one of the F keys, usually F4 through F8, will bring up a system repair screen, with a lot of options. Pick "Restore and Backup". Then Restore your computer to an earlier date. This will keep all your files and programs, and restore your registry and drivers to an earlier date when they worked. You probably got a virus, and this will get rid of it. Good luck, and hope this helps.

Hi there
It has something to do with your antivirus i think, If you used the System Restore function of your computer, it is very likely to have installed an obsolete antivirus program. Almost all computers now come with an antivirus program some sort installed, and the Restore disks (or built-in System Restore) will reinstall it automatically.

Open the Windows Control Panel, check your list of installed programs, and see which antivirus program you have. Uninstall all but one of the antivirus program's.

Good luck and thanks for using Fixya!!
