If your needle is inserted right, you may have a timing problem and it is not a do it yourself job, unfortunately because it requires special tools and know how. . Call Singer (1-800-4singer) and ask customer service and see what they say and they can best advise you.

Why does my needle keep breaking and bobbin case makes a clicking sound and locks up on me?

I'd guess the bobbin case is not firmly in place with the locking tabs. I believe the click is the needle striking the out of place bobbin. Your Owner's manual may give you some better understanding.

I think my husqvarna emerald 118 sewing machine needs to be timed.Bobbin keeps popping out, needle is hitting the bobbin case

If the bobbin case is correctly in position then the needle striking it is a sure fire indication that the timing has jumped. Time for a trip to your local sewing centre for a service and retime I would suggest.

My machine will sew one or two stitches then the threads get all tangled under the plate. appears to be the top thread, not the bobbin

Try these suggestions

1. Change the needle--use a needle that's for the fabric being sewed

2. Rethread the machine--top --make sure to use every thread guide

3. try a different bobbin--make sure bobbin is inserted correctly into the bobbin case, & make sure the bobbin is turned the correct way in the bobbin case

4. make sure the thread has not come off the thread take up lever

5. Clean under the needle plate & in the bobbin area for lint or threads

My bobbin case had a divit on the outstide of it, It continually catches the thread and does not allow the machine to sew. The bobbin gets lifted out of the case and sometimes even lifts up the plate. I...

What caused the divit though, did you strike it with a needle ? it is possible that the timing is actually out on your machine which is causing the problem to keep happening.

As you have already replaced the bobbin case, I'd suggest you take the machine for a service to establish what is actually causing the problem.

Sounds like your machine is off timing, When the machine is properly timed, you should see the hook passing behind the eye of the needle when the needle is on it's upward stroke. If this is not correct the machine will not pick up the bobbin thread. You may have to take it in for adjusting, unless your a bit machnical.

The plastic part that holds the bobbin appears to be jamming against the feed dogs. The machine was working fine and then it just stopped. It jammed and bent the needle. Would not advance forward at all. I...

This is the main link for brother usa parts finder Industrial Garment Printers and Industrial Sewing Machines they should have the part or know where you can get it . If you don't find it online call and talk to them. If the bobbin case doesn't fix it you may need the timing set, but I would try the bobbin case first.

Makes too much noise

Check that your needle is fully up into the needle housing, and is in flat shank to the back.

Also change the needle if it has been in the machine for more than 6 hours of sewing as the needle will go blunt and this can make squeaking or popping sounds as you stitch.

Lastly, are you sure that the bobbin case is in correctly and hasn't been put in incorrectly. It should have a stitch finger which locks up into the top of the rotary hook if its a vertical bobbin case and bobbin design which I'm pretty sure your machine is.

Bobbin case retainer popping out on Singer Touch & Sew 625

Take the bobbin case out. Then when you go to put it in, realize there are 2 ways to get it. You have found one way. The other way is first look in the the slot with a flashlight before you insert it. There is a flat piece of metal the bracket needs to be slid under as it is inserted. This acts like a spring making it tight

Needle & Bobbin out of sync

This description sounds like the machine is out of time. The needle should match up with a cut out section in the bottom of the bobbin area. If it is hitting, the timing has slipped, probably from sewing on a fabric that was too heavy for the machine.
