Question about Sony Handycam DCR-SR200 Camcorder
My new sony dcr sr200 sony camcorder doesn't turn on. When powered on it blinks and then shus off. Also it looks like the shutter is stuck and the shutter is open even on off mode, Pls help
LCD ribbon cable is probably the culprit.

I am also having the same problom. I found the problom is with the ribbon cable which is coming from the camera to LCD ,which may be brocken. As a result the LCD can just blink and switch off the cam.some times we adjust the LCD possition it works for a while then will turn off the camera. I am searching for the parts.

Battery may be out of charge, check the camera by power up with battery charger pluged in ac outlet.

If the issue persists, perform
a power resetting of the Camcorder. To perform power resetting, please remove
the battery pack, turn the Power switch to ON for more than 15 seconds, turn
the Power switch to OFF position and then reinsert the battery pack.
If the issue persists even after performing all the above-mentioned steps, service is required.
