Question about Dell Computers & Internet
The drive has several aspects to pay attention to. IF it is an IDE, make sure the cable is properly inserted (pin one to pin one) (unless you have a connector that is keyed)
The power cord. And the disk select. This is 6 to 8 pins that designate the drive to be a Master drive, slave drive, or cable select.
The motherboards usually can on handle 4 ide devices, (unless additional hardware is installed)
IDE1 one master drive and one slave drive (Master on IDE1 is usually the MAIN boot drive)
IDE 2 one master and one slave drive
Hope this helps, without more information on your problem, this is what I think will help.
good luck and don't forget to vote!!!
