S1 mp4 player does not start, i need firmware,driver:cd says futuro mp4

Do you have the CD for the SMPK8858 ?

Then put the CD into the CD drive or DVD drive of your computer and explore the CD, for the firmware update look under:
\Firmware Upgrade tool\ConsumerUpdate 3.1.2.0\setup.exe
1. explore or double click folder Firmware Upgrade tool
2. explore or double click folder ConsumerUpdate 3.1.2.0
3. run or double click file setup.exe: this will start the installation of the update software on your computer.

After the installation of the setup.exe file, run the firmware update program to start the update for your player.


Most Sylvania players will have a CD provided. When you don't have it, download the driver (a zip file) from Curtis:

After the download unzip the file with WinZip or WinRar:
now look for the firmware installation program under
SYL_SMPK8858_DRIVER \ SMPK8858 \ Firmware Upgrade tool\ConsumerUpdate 3.1.2.0 \ setup.exe
Double click the setup.exe, the same procedure as when using the CD.

I will be sincere to you on this part. This is a VERY BAD thing to do. Why? Because in China there are thousands of OEM MP4 factories and each of them has modified the original MP4
schematics to bring improvements. This way now on the market, even if two players look the same, the board type may be different, so the firmware from one player will not work
to another. Anyway there is a chance to bring it to life.

That being said, you should uninstall your current utilities and install 4.15. Here's a step by step guide that will help you flash your player:
– Connect your player to the PC via the USB cable
– Turn it on
– Wait until it is detected by the PC
– Start MP3 Player Upgrade Tool
-Press “Select new firmware file”.
Now navigate to the firmwares,choose the firmware provided in the software cd and press “Open”.

i have brought a new mp3/mp4{s1 mp3 player} player of 4GB.when ,i made a secert space with the help of mp3 disk tool.my memory of mp3/mp4{s1 mp3 player} player 
is decrease.Now it show only 108 MB.

My mp3/4 digital player cannot start, when I turn it on its screen shows an hourglass and stops by there, it cant go . when I insert the driver CD I got with it for installation it stops along the way asking for a missing file called "AdfuUd.sys ".Besides, it has no manufacturer...
