Is my Sony VAIO PCV-RS226 PC Desktop upgradeable to windows 7 ?

it's possible to install windows 7 on your Sony VAIO PCV-RS226 PC Desktop, but your 512Mb memory are insufficient to run properly the operating system. Windows 7 have a power graphic, if you still use a small memory your PC will work very slowly. The solution is:
  1. install more memory to work fast (2*512Mb or more)
  2. don'nt install a game that use more memory, it fatigue the machine and can cause an intermittent problem.

Vaio service utility stopped working

You may enable the VAIO Event Services in the Services window.
Please press the Windows logo on the Keyboard and then press the "R" key while holding down the Windows logo key to open the Run dialog box. Then, please type "services.msc" in the Run dialog box and click OK to open the Services window.
In the services window, please locate the "VAIO Event Services" then righ click on it and select start.
If the issue persists then uninstall the "VAIO Event Services" from "Add or Remove Program" windows then restart the Computer. After restarting the Computer, please download and install Sony Shared Library and the Sony Notebook Utilities.

You can download the Sony Shared Library from the link given below:
http://www.esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-download.pl?mdl=PCGV505DX&upd_id=1325&os_id=7

Please click on the link given below to download Sony Notebook Utilities:

This may also require restarting the Computer. After installing the Sony Notebook utilities and restarting the Computer, please perform the steps mentioned at the top on this page to check in the "services" window whether the "VAIO Event services" is started if not please do so.
