My Humax 9200 has also started freezing even after a re-start. Still under warranty so will contact Humax.

My Humax 9200 has completely frozen and does so each time its switched on. "TV" is displayed on the unit - and no matter of unplugging and switching back seems to do any good. Any one have any ideas? Or is it a 'send back to Humax' kinda problem?

Try a rescan with the aeral out and then reconnect the aerial and rescan again. This should cure the problem.

The unplugging of the aerial and unplugging the machine and then powering back up seems to work..... and the whole problem did start after some young kids had been playing with the remote......

so good luck.

If it helps (or even if it doesn't!), PVRs seem to behave like computers do when the mouse is clicked too fast or several times in rapid succession; ie they can lock-up. This may be the case if you are giving commands too quickly using the remote, and has happened to me on several occasions, spoiling the enjoyment of what is otherwise an excellent piece of kit. So just try slowing down the keying of the remote - we know, you shouldn't HAVE to do it, but it helps..!

Why I can't get my machine to record more than one programme, i.e. it will not record a series of programmes?

In the Recording menu of the Humax PVR-9300T (or (9200T), if the start or end times are set to anything other than "On Time", series recording is disabled.

How to connect an LG26LE3300 TV to a Humax PVR-9200T and to an Inventive DVD video player? These worked fine with my old TV using scart cables but not with the LG.

You will see the colored jacks on tv. There should be a print by them that says out. Match the colors from the jacks on the tv to the same colored ones on the Humax. The ones on the Humax should say input or a/v or dvd, or phono. From the dvd player, match the colors from here to the tv. The tv should have another set of 3 colored rca jacks that say imput on them.
From DVD Player out to tv in From tv out to Humax in/av/dvd/ ect.

My Humax Duovisio PVR-9200T often freezes completely and has to be switched off at mains for a few seconds. Or commands from remote (eg subtitles, menu, channel change) take minutes to respond. Or...

Remove the Aerial.
Switch on or if it's frozen switch off at the mains and on again.
Press Menu
Installation and enter password - 0000
Select 'Default Setting' and OK
Select 'YES' and OK to restore all settings to factory default.
Confirm again to start loading, enter the password again and it will start scanning for channels but won't find any.
Replace the aerial and press OK to rescan and now it will find channels. On completion press SAVE then EXIT on your keypad.
You won't lose any saved programmes but you will have to re-schedule your recordings.

Humax PVR9300t keeps freezing, have received instructions from Humax on resetting PVR to basics which hasn't solved the problem. Is now starting to freeze during recordings.

Apparently there is a new Humax software update which will be released on 3rd March 2010 - leave your box on standby that night & hope for the best.
There are a number of us with the same problem. Curently the only solution is to power cycle the box (turn off & on again from the switch at the back)

My PVR has retuned (DSO)to the wrong transmitter. I receive signals from the Winter Hill transmitter and live in SW Cumbria. My Humax 9200T has retuned ok but my older 8000T has retuned to a transmitter in...

Not a complete solution but after much fruitless fiddling through the menu I eventually found that the programmes were actually there but under different channel numbers.
I searched a long way down the LIST of channels (on remote) The BBC1 channel I want is now 800 BBC. Selecting 1 on the remote still brings up BBC Wales.
This applies to my Humax 8000T PVR - I can't comment on other makes of Freeview box.

I have a Humax 9200T 160GB. It freezes after being powered up for 1-2 minutes. I removed the Antenna cable and SCART to TV and it powered successfully for hours. Connecting it back together it freezes...

Removed the aerial cable which enable the unit to operate.
In installation menu selected "Default settings". Once this had completed, I powered down the unit, I added the aerial cable and powered on the unit. Unit then searches for channels and stores them "save" tab. Issue resoved.

Humax PVR 9200T freezing picture and will not turn off.

Unplug the aerial; switch the PVR On; if you have control via the remote do a reset to default settings thus:

1. press Menu on the remote
2. select Installation and enter default password of 0000 unless you have changed it
3. select Default settings and okay on YES
4. then turn if off again via the remote
5. plug the aerial back in and it will scan for channels, save them of course.

I got help on this from other forums but saw your request for help. This worked for me.

Hello Fixya Team,

I did solve the problem with the EPG not updating quick enough when you power on.
If once you power on you switch channels to BBC1 youwill find the EPG updates quite quickly.

Hope this helps out.
