Question about Fisher Paykel EcoSmart GWL15

1 Answer

Good Morning/Afternoon, I have a Fisher Pakel Pride 5.5 (MW059AU). The machine fills, washes, but when it gets to the first rinse cyle it doesnt pump out (sometimes a trickle). The motor appears to work, and the cooling fan spins. It then errors and beeps with the following lights (read from left to right): Off; Off; On: Off; Off; On; Off; On;. I believe this means a Sensor Circut Fault (as advised by the FP Customer Service Team). They have quoted an unbelievable amount of money to get a tech on site. We have recently moved (although the washer was kept upright with exception on when on the trolly - slight tilt - but has worked for 4 weeks without a problem). I have had some seriously messy loads. could it be the pump or is there something else I can look at? All assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thanks fr all your help Jahn27.

I have removed all the soggy clothes and bailed out as much as I could. I then tried to spin the machine and it worked? (this did not work with load in). I have then ran an empty load with no incident so I put on another load. But the problem occured again.

    So.. with that I have
I have laid the machine on its front and totally removed the pump. Nothing stuck in there and have checked the one hose from pump to top of machine/exit hoses for kinks or blockages. (didnt remove hose but was able to blow rather forcefully through it.

Sorry to ask but i cant seek to locate the diverter valve? I can see images of other models and have googled spare parts so I would know what to look for but sadly cannot find it?

Sorry to be a pain.. (perhaps I should stick to my day job :S ).

Any furhter assistance you can give me is greatly appreciated.

It is fault code 37 which means pump blocked error and it appears when while draining the water level reading from the pressure sensor has not changed for over 3 minutes. Check out the drain hose and make sure it is not clogged nor kinked. Also check the pump for blockage including the diverter valve which may be stuck in the recirculation position, giving the module the appearance the pump is blocked and not lowering the water level.

The diverter valve is the one where the drain pump and the recirculation pump inlet hoses are attached to. Its sole purpose is to divert water to the recirculation pump during washing and to the drain pump during the spin cycle.

Dismantle washing machine fisher and paykel - unit smells -need to remove bowl to clean out

b4 u remove bowl try this 1/ buy 2 pkts bicarb of soda. 2/pour into empty bowl of unit. 3/select high water level 4/ select hot fill. 5/ start cycle 6/ let it wash for 5 to 10 mins then turn it off, do not let it get to rinse and drain the water away. leave it over nite with water still in it, in the morning restart program and let it do a normal cycle with no clothes in it. it will not refill as it already fill of water.please reply to see how u went or 4 more help

Fisher and Paykel Pride 5.5kg washing machine, everything works fine until you get to the spin cycle and then it just beeps and won't do anything more. What can I do to check or fix this?

My washing machine will not cut off on a high water level, but will on the medium. It will wash until it gets to the short wash and then it just beeps at me. I tried to advance it to the rinse cycle but the light just blinks and won't do anything more. It did drain the water out though. What's the problem and how do I fix it.
