Take out one battery. While holding the "On" button, put the battery back in. It may take more than one attempt, but it should start working again. Tell me how it works out, and hope this helps!

My ti-89 titanium won't graph logarithms (y1=22log(10)x)

The graph of y=22log(10) is a straight line, though it should go through (0,0) and (1,22). Log(10) is a constant 1, so the function is simply y=22x .

If you want "twenty-two times log-base-ten of x", write it as 22*log(x) .

There is always a blue line showed up in the middle of screen for my daughter's TI-89 Titanium calculator and froze other functions. Change battery does not solve the issue. Really need help. Billy

I think the blue line is generally unfix-able without replacing the screen, which costs as much as a new calculator. The freezing may be fixable, try taking out the triple A batteries and leaving the calculator to sit with them out for a minute or so, replace them and check if it's fixed. If that doesn't work you can do the same but take out the small button back up battery as well. If you're still not having luck you should call ti cares (800-842-2737) they're usually helpful.

I put in my calculator integrate of (2^X) and the answer is root squere of 2/12 when theanswer should be X^3/3 how can I solve this, by the way my calculator is is a TI-89 Titanium

What do you really want to integrate? 2 to power x (2^x) or x squared (x^2). Look at the screen capture below. The command line shows you the syntax for an indefinite integral.

How do i unfreeze my ti-89 screen

A hard reset will clear all RAM:

Press and hold the left-arrow, right-arrow, and 2ND keys. Then press and release the ON key.

If that doesn't do it, this process will clear all RAM and flash ROM:

Remove one of the four AAA batteries. Press and hold the (-) and ) keys. Reinstall the battery. Continue to hold down the (-) and ) keys for five seconds before releasing.

When I turn the switch on, ti-89 titanium does not turn on.

If you connect calculator to computer using Ti connect device explorer you might be able to see what files are on the calculator. I don't know if you downloaded from the web but, 3rd party programs and shells tent to miss up the calculator. This would able you to delete out possible problems which could be re installed later.

Screen fully black

Black-Screen/Black-Pixel Fix for TI-Calculator

This will erase all memory and reset defaults.

1. Remove 1 AAA Battery
2. Press and Hold 'ON' for 30 seconds
3. Replace AAA Battery
4. Adjust Contrast to appropriate level

If this fails, try again with ALL Batteries removed including
the backup Lithium Battery.

If all else fails, try the following reset procedure:

1. Remove ALL Batteries (inc. Backup)
2. Let Calculator sit with no batteries for 2~4 hours.
3. Hold 'ON' for 30 seconds.
4. Replace all the batteries (May be good idea to use new batteries
just in case old ones were dead)
5. Turn on Calculator
6. Change Contrast to appropriate level

- Remember to use correct batteries or calculator may not work. The
correct batteries are Alkaline, Rechargable Batteries are TOO WEAK,
Heavy Duty batteries are TOO STRONG.
