Thanks for using FixYa. 10 blink error in your Plasma TV means that the A Board has gone bad and should be replaced. You are right, this issue is caused due to overheating and the capacitor(s) goes bad causing these issues. You can also open the back of the unit and check the main board (A Board) first for any blown/bad components/capacitors as the board itself is around $250.
