This is also happening to me. Camcorder just sits there forever. Neither Windows Explorer nor the Picture Motion Browser can access the videos on the DVD-R although both recognize that the Camcorder is attached (as my F drive).

I have exactly the same problem.........

Just figured this out--decided I'd get on the internet to see if anyone else had this problem then went to my Sony Camcorder--You must finalize your disk before you can see it on the computer--you can see it on the tv by plugging it up but you must finalize the disc before you can see it on the computer--Just go to home on your camcorder and touch finalize--it will take a little bit but when it finalizes just hook up your usb cable and it should come up

Ironmanwill,
That is exactly when I started having trouble. I could see the movie on my camcorder before I finalized it. Then after I finalized it, it seems as if I have lost everything. When I try to view it on the camera I get a driver error message, on the tv, the DVD player says there is a problem with the disc, the computer just sits there and thinks about it. Is there anywhere I can take the disc to get a technician to salvage the footage of my 6 month old????

So I videoed my grandson again on a new disc. I didn't finalize the disc but just transfered it from the camera to the computer and at this time I am watching it on the computer. Now I don't know whether to take the camera back, or just not finalize the discs and transfer them immediately to computer and then make another disk from the computer.

To GIGNASIR: If you are installing the software and the computer appears to be connecting for a long time, wait until the computer screen pops up where you can click "next" or "cancel" and eventhough the LCD screen says it is still connecting click "next" and go on thru the steps. It worked for me. Sony customer service sucks and the owner's manual you get doesn't tell you nearly enough to get this camcorder to make these discs work correctly.

How can i turn on wifi?

Step 1:
which operating system ?
For the most part, IBM has switched its focus away from personal computers and more towards large business items such as servers and networks. However, it is still possible to use and purchase an IBM Thinkpad. These are IBM's version of the laptop. A majority of IBM Thinkpads still use Windows XP and offer the function of connecting to WiFi, as long as the connection has been properly configured.

Power on the IBM Thinkpad and wait for it to completely boot up. Right-click the small wireless desktop icon in the bottom right corner of the screen. Select "View Available Wireless Signals" from the pull-up menu. This is going to load a small window that displays all of the available WiFi signals in the area. There are going to be padlock icons next to the signals if a password has been placed on them. Click on one of the WiFi signals to which you want to connect. If a password is required, you are going to be asked here to type it in. Wait a few moments for the IBM Thinkpad to connect to the WiFi signal. The computer is going to display a small message window once the connection has completed. You have now finished the configuration, and you can begin to surf the Internet.

I can play the DVD in the camcorder but when i connect it thru USB to a win 7 laptop, it shows as if the data in DVD is empty.

You need to Finalize recorded dvd within camcorder then connect it to computer via usb cable to transfer movie files.
Computer will see these files after dvd finalization.

T30 cannot connect to projector/external monitor on windows 7.

You can connect your computer to a projector to give a presentation on a large screen.First make sure the projector is turned on, and then plug the display cable from the projector into a video port on your computer.
Then press Win Key+P or run DisplaySwitch.exe and choose your preferred display.
Note:1.You can use this same procedure to connect your computer to a monitor
2.This will have no effect if you’ve only one display connected

IBM Thinkpad t40 black screen

Chips DO get loose and what you're experiencing is a common problem with IBM T40's. The solder that holds the graphics processor to the motherboard is cracked and no longre consistantly makes a good connection. This problem can only permanently be resolved with a new motherboard, or reflowing the solder of the GPU chip on the old one with a heat gun. Do a search for "thinkpad solder reflow" in any search engine.

Good luck.

The only way to cut off the sound on a handycam is to connect up a blank micro jack plug to the microphone input. Unfortunately the DVD108 doesn't have this option.
