The machine has worked perfectly for 6 years. Suddenly with no warning it wont work at all. No lights or programmes work. I have checked the plug and the mains both are fine. I am sure that this must be something simple maybe a fuse in the machine or similar. Any help or advise greatly appreciated cheers

the bearings will not explode but will collapse and allow water into the gear box
if you can still get the parts, get a quote to repair from a washing machine technician and compare with the price of a new machine
Remember new machines have a warranty period and generally use less power and water
The tub is suspended by springs and the non rotational forces are dampened by a shock absorber. There is also something called a balancer S0058 in the diagram. After 6 years springs sag and shock absorbers can wear out, I'd start with replacing those. Get the exact model number before ordering parts; a Google search will find lots of parts sources. You may even want to call the supplier to confirm compatibility of parts. Parts for Samsung WF337AAG XAA Tub Assy Parts
see this and fix it. God bless you Control
To check the control remove the top panel and then remove the console to
access the wiring to the control. Find the wire feeding the control
from the main power cord. If you cannot visually see this refer to the
tech sheet or service manual. Connect voltmeter to the 2 wires feeding
the control if it is recieving power and it does not respond replace the control.
If it fills then the next phase is to agitate.
To do that the motor must drive
Can you hear a whirring sound from the machine if you get close to it if so then the belt driving driving drum may have snapped.
If not then the motor brushes may have stuck or have worn out.
Does the machine programmer advance by itself or are you turning the dial
Either the child lock is on - press and hold quick-wash and anti-crease, at the same time for three seconds.
Or your machine need re-seting
Turn power button off (not at wall) Select 90 degree wash Press Start and Cancel button down at same time for 3 seconds and turn power button on whilst still holding buttons down - Start light will flash. Leave power on. Select any Spin position. Press Start and Cancel button at same time again for 3 seconds - other buttons may start to flash - if they do, press Start and Cancel button together again for 3 seconds. Machine should be re-set ready for use. Good luck!
