Question about Washing Machines
It sounds like you are having an issue with the console itself. Perform the Console Switches and Indicators Test to determine if a key is stuck. Press the SOAK and CYCLE SIGNAL keys in the following sequence within 5 seconds while the machine is in standby: SOAK - CYCLE SIGNAL - SOAK - CYCLE SIGNAL
The 7-segment display will show "dt" to indicate the sequence is done correctly. Press START then pressing each key will cause a beep to sound and one or more LEDs corresponding to the key light up. In this manner, you will be able to determine if the console is working or if one or more keys are stuck open or shorted. Replace the console if found to be not working or unstuck if any key is found stuck or shorted.

Hi, sounds more like the keypad is stuck or shorted. You can try to do a membrane test by putting it into the service mode. Have the unit on, press and hold the delicates and heavy soil key together until it shows 00 on the display. Then press the wrinkle free key. This will let you test every key on the keypad. You can toggle them off and on and see if they are responding. If they are not responding then you can assume that the keypad is your problem. At repairclinic.com you can order the part you need and if it doesn't solve the problem they will take it back no questions asked. A lot of people are not too fond of these washers because of the many issues they had with them. You would have to weigh the price of the part versus a new washer. The keypad is not hard to install. Just a ribbon that plugs into the board. You may want to try to clean the end of the ribbon with a eraser and see if that fixes the problem. Make sure the unit is unplugged before going in there.
