Question about Panasonic TH-50PX60U 50 in. Plasma HDTV
My 6 month old 50 inch Panasonic Plasma television is experiencing parallel vertical lines running through the screen approximately 6 inches in from left side of screen. This happens every time the television is turned on and last for up to several minutes. If I turn the television off for a few seconds, the lines have NOT reappeared. If I leave the television off for a considerable amount of time, the lines reappear. It starts out as a thick 2-3 inch white vertical line and after a period of a minute or so start to flicker with more and more colored parallel lines, green and then other colors until all colors fill in space appropriately. Is this a defect?
This sounds like one of the driver boards at the bottom or top of the screen has an intermittent fault. The set will have to be taken in to a service centre.
