Problem with Toshiba laptop

It stays on with Battery? Has the AC jack been damaged due to pulling on the cord while plugged in? Have you tried another cord/charger with the EXACT same power specs? Does the cord/charger charge the Battery? Charge LED lights? It sounds like a Graphics Adapter? If you connect to a external monitor is it the same. Your question/statement indicates multiple issues. 1 , Power, 2, Graphics. Can you clarify "color blank"?

Why is New Samsung computer battery not detected?

Step 1:
Computer Won't Recognize a Battery While desktop computers are plugged directly into an electrical outlet to obtain power, laptops rely on a battery and power cord in order to be charged. If your laptop suddenly stops recognizing this battery pack, however, it could jeopardize your ability to charge your computer and ultimately work on it at all.

Inspect the Battery With the battery unplugged, carefully examine your laptop's battery, both the battery unit itself and any cords or plugs attached to it. Make sure the battery's case is not cracked or damaged. Look for fraying cords and bent prongs on the plug. Any of these issues could cause internal damage to the battery itself, the cable or the plug, which could interrupt the flow of electricity between the battery or electrical outlet and your laptop. If your laptop is still under warranty, you may be able to get a free replacement for a damaged battery or cable. b> Check The Port b> Damage to the port on the back of your laptop the one into which you insert the power cord could cause your laptop not to recognize your battery or any cables attached to it. Turn off your laptop and turn it around so you have a clear view of this port. Using a flashlight to illuminate the port, inspect it for any dirt or debris that may have become jammed inside; gently remove any debris with a small cotton swab. A bent prong could also interrupt the circuit, making it difficult for the battery to transfer energy from the power cord to the laptop; straighten a bent prong using needle nose pliers. Avoid making invasive repairs, especially if your product is under warranty; any damage you do to the laptop in an effort to fix it could nullify the terms of your warranty. b> Wrong Kind Of Battery b> Some brands of laptops, such as Dell, will not recognize a battery that wasn't manufactured by the same company. To make sure that your battery is compatible with your laptop, consult your laptop's user guide for battery specifications (these will vary based on make and model of your laptop). b> Dead Battery b> Laptop batteries have a limited lifespan. After so many charges, they may be unable to transfer enough power from your electrical outlet to your laptop. When your battery reaches this point, a replacement may be your best option. b> Laptop Update b> Updating the "BIOS" on your laptop can help the unit better detect and recognize external hardware such as a battery. BIOS which stands for Basic Input/Output System assists in booting up your laptop, and helps run every function until you turn it off. Computer manufacturers release BIOS updates for their products routinely; these updates can be downloaded from the company's website as ".exe" files. Run and save this update on your laptop, then restart it to see if your laptop now recognizes the battery. Mac users can reset the laptop's System Management Controller (SMC). Apple reports that sometimes, otherwise unexplained errors pop up in the laptop's system, including problems with the battery's ability to charge. To reset the SMC, turn off the laptop and remove the battery. Hold down the "Power" button for five seconds and release before plugging the battery back in and turning the laptop on.

Acer emachine s525.it will not power on,it refuses to charge.the charger lights up but nothing.I have tried using a different charger for another laptop it also shows that there's current coming...

The AC jack may be damaged due to pulling on the cord. Make sure the other cord/charger/transformer is the EXACT same power spec before plugging in, it may fry the laptops internal PSU.

My hp pavillion laptop will not charge my battery . It won't even work without the battery but plugged in with power supply even though i know battery and power supply are sound.

It won't ever be a 'software' issue....it will be either a :

Adapter/Charger issue (Have it tested by local PC repair shop.)
if it is good, then it is the other prob. If it is not good, then buy a new one.

OR

Laptop power connector issue. (expensive repair.)

New Battery will not charge? So will the laptop power on with just the Power Cord plugged in? If no, then the power cord is bad, no wonder the battery won't charge.

My Asus Eee PC 1001PXD battery won't charge. The charges light is on but nothing happens and now the battery is completely dead and I cannot get my notebook on

Your problem is far more than the battery. Your problem is the power cord. Laptops for the most part will work off the power cord even if the battery is dead or even if the battery is not in the laptop. Your power cord charges your battery and if it is bad it will not charge it. You've been working off your battery even though you might have had the power cord plugged in, but if it's bad and not charging the battery, the battery drains and then you can't get the laptop to power on at all. Go purchase a ac adapter and power cord that is designed for your system. Don't buy one that some of the big box stores sell that has a an interchangeable plug at the end designed to fit just about any laptop. Those will eventually burn *********** board out.

My MSI U100 Netbook won't charge. I purchased a new battery, and it still won't charge. So the battery was not the issue. Can the the AC power cord go bad as well and I should replace it? Or is...

Yes the AC Cord does go bad , you can also look at the power jack at the back of the Laptop to see if it is loose when you plug it in. I always start with the plug they are usually cheaper than a battery.

Can't charge battery

Remove the battery and try if the PC turn on connecting to direct currrent.
If it turn on (whitout battery), the issue should be a connector problem or a damaged internal recargher.
