Sounds like the water inlet valve is faulty. Could be the part itself or some debris has it preventing from closing fully, so check for debris in hoses and if not clogged replace valve: http://www.partselect.com/dishwasher+replace-water-valve+repair.htm 1_4_2014_3_59_39_pm.png

Gurgling in the bath tub when toilet is flushed

follow this steps and fix it. God bless you
lear a clogged (not stopped) sink or bathtub with a plunger:
  1. If you have a dishwasher, pinch off the rubber dishwasher drain hose that leads to the garbage disposer using a clamp or locking pliers. If clearing a bathtub, remove the drain stopper and cover the overflow opening with a wet rag.
  2. Remove the sink basket or tub stopper and clean any debris from the drain opening.
  3. Fill the sink or tub with sufficient water to cover the plunger cup, usually about 2 inches. If you are working on a double sink, seal the other sink with a stopper so the plunger can create a vacuum.
  4. Set the plunger on the drain opening and repeatedly pump it up and down, then pull away sharply to dislodge debris. Repeat if necessary.
  5. Turn on warm or hot water to flush loosened debris from the drain.
  6. If the clog remains, use an auger (see below) or an expansion nozzle (see below) to clear the drain.
Clear a clog using an auger:
  1. Remove the stopper or strainer. If unable to do so, disassemble the drain trap (see below) and feed the auger directly through the pipe. Make sure you have a pail and rags nearby in case of a water spill.
  2. Release the setscrew on the auger and begin feeding the cable into the open drain.
  3. Once the auger tip hits the clog, set the screw and crank the auger clockwise to break up the clog.
  4. Continue breaking up the clog and moving it down the drain line with the auger. Once there is no more resistance to forward motion of the auger, stop and carefully remove the auger.
  5. If the clog can't be moved, continue twisting the auger to possibly snag and retract the clog.
  6. Once the clog is cleared, flush the drain with boiling water.

Will not spin

First unplug the machine.Check the drain hose between the tub and drain pump for debris. Some drain pumps have clean out basket attached to them. If yours does open it (prepare for water) and dump the debris then see if you can reach the impeller with a finger. Make sure it turns (it won't spin but you should be able to turn it with a finger) and is not wobbly or cocked to the side. There will likely be some debris in the hose from tub to pump remove it and shine a flashlight into the hose. Look in the tub to see if you can see the light. If so hose is clear. If not there may be a sock or something stopping water from draining properly. Once you are satisfied hose is clear and pump is functionable, plug the machine back in and give it a try. Good luck.

The code error is LD

LD Error - indicates that drain times are longer than expected.
Is there water in the bottom of the tub? If yes then open back of washer and remove drain pump (on left side) and pull off of tub and clear whatever is blocking its impeller. If the water is all gone and drained but pump stays on for several minutes and then gives "LD" fault then open back and check the small clear tube that is attached to the tub. Make sure is not blocked with debris and check tube and tub for anything that could block the small clear tube. If these are ok then remove 3 screws in back of the control panel, pull open control panel and check the clear tub all the way up from the tub to the washer controller board (computer) make sure it is not kinked or disconnected. If not then the problem is most likely the pressure sensor on the (control board). This unit will have to be replaced.

Not running through the cycle ,Whirlpool AWM 5100

Wher is it stopping, if it is stopping on the rinse cyle, it could be a bad pressure switch or plugged tube to the pressure switch, if it is stopping in the spin cyle it could be the door switch not functioning or a plugged pump filter or pump or clogged discharge hoe. The pump filter is ususally an issue, it is under the tub, usually right in front with some sort of cap on it.
Remove the 3 screws at the bottom of the front panel under the washer door. Your filter door will be light brown. If you find a hose there it is to drain out excess water (water that could not be drained by your pump) After you have drained unscrew the cap and remove all the junk inside. Have a large plastic bag to catch junk and water. Refit carefully after cleaning out. If not solved, something shd be blocking your pump, check this out. Door locked? Press "end of cycle" for 3 seconds, wait for 2 minutes & try the door. are you getting any codes, these tell us a lot.
If this was helpful a vote of approval for the free help would be appreciated.

A lot of water standing in washer. clothes are clean and spun, the water seems to increase each time.

You have have some debris in the drain boot. Remove the back access panel on the washer. Look on the bottom of the tub and you will see a hose (boot) the comes off the tub going to the pump. Remove the boot and clear any debris that may be hampering the draining. Also, while you have the boot off, stick a finger up into the tub to check if there may be a small article of clothing that may be blocking the drain hole.

Check the drain hose and clear it from any debris that might be blocking the water from draining out completely. If the drain hose is clear of debris, check and clean the pump. Disconnect the machine from the power outlet before servicing for safety purposes.

Remove the rear access panel to access the pump and disconnect the wiring harness from the terminals of the drain pump and the pressure switch.

Loosen the clamps holding the drain hose and the tub hose to the pump assembly. It is a good idea to spread a towel under the pump before loosening the clamps.

Remove the hoses and rotate the pump assembly counterclockwise to release the pump assembly support legs from the keyed slot in the base of the washer. Remove the pump assembly from the washer.

Clear the pump impeller from any debris that might be causing it to work improperly. Clean the tub and the drain hose.

Reassemble the pump, the hoses, and reconnect the wires to the terminals of the pressure switch and the drain pump. Reinstall the rear access panel and run the machine.

Replace the pump (part #25001052) if water still do not drain out completely.

Remove the plastic bag covering the pressure switch. Press in the locking tabs on the back of the pressure switch and pivot the pressure switch off the pump bracket.

Grasp the pressure switch and lift the nipple of the pressure switch from the pump cap.

Install the pressure switch into the new pump assembly in reverse of the steps above.
