How to connect Wireless router to Cabel Modem and Vonage Modem?

First of all: it would be good to know which devices you are using. This would help to be more specific.

But anyways:
  1. Connect a normal Ethernet cable from your DSL or Cable modem to the Internet (or WAN) port of your vonage router.
  2. Then connect another Ethernet cable from one of theLAN ports of the vonage device to the Internet (or WAN) port of your Linksys (The one that is separated from the 4 LAN ports.)
  3. Make sure that the Linksys is set to DHCP (Dynamic IP Address), soit can get it's IP address from the vonage router! (Look at your manual. If you don't have one, you can get it here. Choose the right version number - you can find that on a sticker at the bottom of the router - and download the user guide)
  4. Connect your computer to one of the LAN ports on the Linksys.
If you have any more questions or this desciption is not clear to you, just come back here and leave a comment - I'm happy to help.

Can't connect reliance ec325 on ubuntu7.1

This can be a real challenge.
If you cannot get on, then get the D-Link box as a quick fix.

You may , just may need to open what is called a UDP port for the router, which if you can get in then set the udp port to accept your vonage.
Vonage is pretty rock solid and most boxes have all udp ports open.

You issue is that you are using a PPP and that is a real source of trouble. You have to be able to tweak the incoming router box. Some ISP 's want you to use there phones and will block ports so you cannot do much.

Complain to your internet provider. Make them fix it or replace a box that will allow open communications with the Linksys / vonage box.

Can't call home phone

Make sure your the internet is working fine on the router. If it is, you need to call vonage and have them activate the phone ports of the router. The phone ports on the back of the router needs to be registered first through vonage. That should do it.

Vonage does not work with D-Link router

If you plugged a telephone into your D-link router, unplug it - that can not work!
You have to plug your vonage router (WAN port) into the D-Link (LAN port) and connect your phone to one of the LAN ports of the vonage router.

If you do not need the wireless capabilities of the D-Link, you can simply take that one out and only use your vonage router.

If you need more help, I would need more details form you:
Which vonage adapter are you using?
How is your setup (i.e. modem -> D-link -> vonage & computers)
What connections are you using (wire/wireless)?

You can also find help here.

Nat

First call microsoft and tell them that your nat is moderate. (for me it still works on moderate...???) Tell them your router and internet service provider. They will tell you a port number which will have to be opened in order to make your connection stronger. then call your router manufacturer. (or vonage) And they have to help you.

Chances are there refering to the ports page in your lynksys router page. By opening the correct port you should be able to get a connection. But your going to need to find out the correct port from the company.
