With 90 # air and PC nails. When I pull the trigger nothing happens. No air noise, no nailing, no movement - just dead. It's been oiled every use.

Most likely stuck trigger valve. Easy to check. Remove nails, remove trigger to expose the firing pin of trigger valve. Connect air and very quickly depress the firing pin all the way in. If the gun fires , adjust the safety to depress the trigger valve completely. If the gun does not fire, replace firing valve, or remove and check /lube o-rings in valve. Good luck

I have a Bostich coil roofing nailer #RN46-1 leaking air at trigger area when depressed. Replaced trigger assy but same results. Anything else it could be?

Sounds like your gun needs servicing. normally strip, clean and usually fit new O rings to head valve assy, piston & usually sleeve.

With the safety depressed, it only blows air when the trigger is pulled. I had it in a shop for the same problem and it worked for a little while and then did the same thing.

No model number given for specific solution, however, the problem that you describe is caused by air leaking past the orings in the headvalve or head gasket(you will not hear air leaking out of the gun, air is leaking between pressure chambers) or the safety foot is not pushing the trigger pin all the way in. Easy test. Remove the trigger and manually depress the trigger pin in very quickly. If the gun fires, adjust safety foot. If gun does not fire , remove the head and pull out the headvalve. Look for small scratches on the surface where the orings make contact to the head. Remove fine scratches and lube with plenty of white grease and retest the gun. Good luck

Hitatchi nv45b2 trigger leaking

Air leaking around the trigger area could be caused by vinyl ball / gasket under trigger valve bushing or orings within the gun. Easy test, remove nails and connect air (assuming that air is now leaking around the trigger area). Depressing the trigger stops the leak, replace vinyl ball. Depressing trigger does not stop leak, move plunger b (plunger B, small shaft under bubber bushing next to the trigger valve) with your finger in then out to determine if air leak changes tone. If air leak changes sound or tone, then air is leaking past orings of the cylinder guide and/or cylinder plate and/ or the cylinder itself is scratched by debris where the orings make contact. Pull out the cylinder and examine the contact areas. If scratched, use 300 grit paper to smooth, if smooth, however, suspect the orings of cylinder guide (or cylinder guide is cracked). The cylinder guide is difficult to remove and install without causing damage to guide or cutting new orings when installing. Do not remove the guide unless all the other options have been checked. One last bit if information, I have noticed that some guns will leak air if the orings on the feeder piston do not fit snuggly. Make sure that leaking sound is not coming from feeder area (remove the basket and feeder/feeder pin/spring and pull out the feed piston, making sure that the largest oring is making good contact within the cylinder). Good luck with repair.

My bostitch N88RH is not firing nails

May occur when headvalve or driver is stuck (will usually make a pop or click when tigger is depressed), or tigger valve has failed or safety not actually touching trigger firing pin. Easy test, remove nails, remove trigger by pushing out 3mm roll pin or bolt to expose the firing pin. Pull back nail feeder and place the nose against piece of wood ~ depress trigger with very quick motion with finger. If it fires, reinstall trigger and adjust safety foot so that the firing pin is pushed all the way in. If does not fire, replace trigger valve (usually tva6) or remove trigger valve and replace the 3 orings on the inner plunger. If you hear a pop or click when you do test above, remove head and lube the headvalve orings with white grease or silicone paste.

I have the 2 1/2 Hitachi for nailing siding. The nail gun had not been used for a couple of years, but now will only drive the nail half way in. Sounds like an air leak when driving the nail. I have...

Remove the nails and air supply. With side door open notice position of driver. Driver should be at top position with tip not visible. If driver is down and it moves within cylinder when you tilt nose up then down again, time to replace orings. If driver is down, it should extend past the nose about 1/4 inch (if driver is broken at the tip the end will look rough and nail will not drive in all the way). If driver extends past the nose more than 1/4 inch then lower bumper may be breaking up /cracked. Easy test for proper function. With nails removed and side door open, connect air to gun and dry fire gun against hard rubber or old coiled air-hose (with air connected and trigger depressed, no air should leak from trigger area, if air leaks when trigger is depressed, look for fault at trigger pin). Feeder should move back then forward in quick motion almost matching speed of driver and driver should not creep down between shots. No air should leak from nose of the gun (push nose against hard rubber and depress trigger and hold in this position, driver should stay down with very little or no air leaking out of nose, when you release trigger, driver will return). If air leaks out of nose while holding in this position, replace lower bumper. If a quantity of air leaks from valve in front of trigger, cylinder orings may need replacing or outer part of cylinder has fine scratches (remove scratches with 400 grit paper). Parts are available at www.toolpartsdirect.com. Good lucki

My paslode nail gun has gas and full battery but is not firing what is usual problems

could be quite a few problems, to start what is it doing exactly, can you hear the fan come on when the safety is depressed or the trigger is squeezed, if not could be a bad fan motor, electrical short in the board a loose connection, the light on the side, what color is it flashing when you try depressing the trigger, if it is red the battery could be a problem, Let me know some more information along with the model number and I will try and help

Air leaks arond trigger when depressed, but no nail fires.

Where does the air leak out from? If it leaks from the trigger DeWalt makes a trigger valve assembly part # 641006-00 list 8.89 BUT if it leaks from other areas we have to look into it deeper. If it is just the trigger valve let me know and I will give you instructions how to remove and install the new one.
