Question about Acer Aspire 5520-5908 Notebook
Plug the laptop into a monitor, most new LCD TV's will have a PC connection on the back, you will need a VGA or DVI cable for this, depends what your laptop has. If you see the OS boot up fine then the problem is with your laptop display, likely the backlight or some component of the display is toast. If you don't see anything on the second display then you may have other issues, video card/motherboard, although you would think that would be caught at POST and give you some beeps to indicate failure. Try the first option then post back with results.
