Jam in output bin message but no apparent jam

This does not resolve the issue. I have cleared all pathways thoroughly, unplugged and replugged in the machine, etc. My hope is that there is a way to reset the machine. Otherwise, maybe a sensor needs to be removed, cleaned or replaced.

I have repeated all steps indicated. After removing all toner cartridges, pressing the "X" and check button repeatedly, blowing it clean, I am totally confident there is not the slightest bit of paper in there. I did ONCE get it to print a single sheet before jamming again. It then jammed. I cleaned it thoroughly, reomoved and replaced toner cartridges and... still get the message and can't print.

Follow all the steps mentioned here (click here) [this may take several minutes, but this is the best method]. After you are done with all these, remove all the cartridges, drum, disconnect the power cord and the usb cable. Once again check the passage and the paper path (a hard blow with a blower or air can is also recommended). After you are cleared and done, reinstall everything.. now boot the machine and check the status...

If you need help removing and install the components, you can refer these animated tutorials (click here)

You can also try resetting (Cold Reset) (click here).

If the problem persists even after all these....... let me know.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Base from the description of your problem the issue can be really a paper jam somewhere in your printer that you cannot locate.

What we can do here is to make sure first everything is clear on your printer and not even a piece of paper a very small one that is jamming the printer.

You can follow the steps from HP site from this link to correct the problem, just click HERE.

3. Replace tray 2.
4. Press OK to continue printing.

If the Jam is in the Fuser area:

Jam in bin

this is a common fault. look where the paper was jammed, you may need a torch. There is a black or white sensor there that has been dislodged. Once clipped back into place it will then report to the printer that the paper path is clear and no longer a jam.

Jam in Output Bin Message

The output Bin message comes from the sensor that reads when there are to many pages printed and they are sitting on the top BIN. Check the BIN sensor or arm and make sure that it is reading. Most of the time the sensor has a broken arm the the sensor reads to let it know when the BIN is full. You might want make sure that you reconnected the sensor and you have take the top cover off to replace the fuser.

Jam in output bin

Make absolutely sure there actually is no paper jammed in there.
I came to this page with the same warning, convinced I had a software glitch. Turned out there was a page accordion-folded down to the size of a pencil lead. I didn't know paper could be folded that small.
Of course, everyone here may be a lot brighter than I am, in which case sorry to waste your time. But for me, the obvious first fix needed to be thoroughly explored before cursing HP and their machine.
