If all the peripherals are working in other machines then it sounds like the chipset or the bios itself would be suspect.

Did anyone Flash the bios with an upgrade?

I have a motherboard that the northbridge is affected. All components seem to work fine except no USB ports or CardBus work.

Hi,
Do this, first disconnect your memory into motherboard slot and then power on your PC. if you hear repeated beeping means no memory installed, the motherboard work fine. try to insert again your memory. if your memory are two pcs. insert only one memory and then power on again your PC. (only one by one insert memory for testing so you can trace if one of your memory was defective).
Try this,
Motherboard beeping troubleshooting guide.
(Note: before touching computer parts like motherboard, memory, video card and specially hardisk the very important parts of PC. discharge your static electric into floor ground or the case of your power supply. need also external PC speaker. if no onboard PC speaker ).
No beeps means short circuit, no power, bad processor, open parts or defective parts specially capacitor parts.
See this sample picture of capacitor leakage and defective.

One beep means everything is normal the motherboard work fine.
Two beeps means cmos bios error and defective.
One long beep, one short beep means motherboard need tracing defective parts specially capacitor.
One long beep, two short beeps means videocard problem need tracing of parts CPU and blower fan for working good, also capacitor parts for leakages.
Three long beeps means keyboard error some key press stock up or modules parts defective.
Repeated long beeps means memory not detected, loose of defective
Continuous Hi-Lo beeps means CPU overheat or loose blower fan with heatsink into motherboard chassis.
Try this solution for your motherboard troubleshooting solutions.

Hope this information can help you.

I have mb-msi2000-815e pro ver1, it is constantly beeping. change the memories, agp,, but it still continues.what could be wrong/

1.Your first step is to look at the information about the meaning of the beeping codes. Beep codes are important and useful tools when troubleshooting booting issues. When you turn on your computer system, it is called POST (Power On Self Test).

2.No beep is usually a power problem that can be related to the power supply, motherboard or both. Always check your battery power before thinking there is a bigger problem.

3.One beep is a normal POST. That means everything is fine.

Two, Three, or Four short beeps are normally about the memory of the machine. If there is a problem with one of your memory chips you should get beeps of different combinations in this area. If you get two or three short beeps, one or both of your memory chips could be in trouble.

4.Five beeps point toward motherboard or CPU problems. Make sure your memory and video card are seated properly. Try removing them and putting them back in, only if you are comfortable with computers.

Six, seven and eight beeps.

Eight beeps indicate problems with your video card. Six or Seven are CPU, or a bad chip on the motherboard.

Nine beeps mean the BIOS is bad. Replace the motherboard.

Ten beeps means the problem is in the CMOS. All chips need to be replaced.

5.Eleven beeps are related in the cache of the mother board and this means that the motherboard needs replaced.

One long and three short beeps mean that it is related to a loose memory chip. Try reseating it.

One long and eight short beeps means that the video cards needs reseated.

6.I hope that this list of beep codes will help settle the panic you feel when your computer is sick. If all fails, Then you inform me

remove the RAM(MEMORY CHIPS) from *********** board and reinsert.if the problem is same replace the chips, get new chips.mostly cleaning the golden lines on the chip with pencil/school rubber solves the problem.

Power to everything but CPU fan and case fan - won't boot

Hi this is tech crazy

The solution to the problem is as follows

The main reason for CPU fan overworking or not working is due to the load we put on the syatem while operating. So,the first reason for fan not working may be due to the SMPS malfunctionality.Better check out for it.The reason if fan is working but Overworking is due to viruses is system. So go in for format

Hope this solution helps you

Please do rate me on the above said solution

Video error beep codes not video problem

Sounds like Bad Memory chips try just using one chip. even though youve replaced the video card. so im guessing memory could be bad, at least one of them.

try not reseating them but just using one at a time in the slots

also yeah reseating the CPU can help too, an over heating CPU will still boot up, but not advisable. make sure heatsink is present and fans are working. thermal grease is good too on cpu.

but check memory if you have mixed memory like 128mb and 512mb chips try smaller one first if it works then try the higher one.

but sounds like a memory problem, they can go bad almost instantly.
